Vehicle Detail
Last model year before Ford stopped making the CVPI. This is a recently retired San Bernardino County Sherriff patrol car #14682-04. It is factory Performance White with grey/black interior and rare matching front and rear seats. Options include Ballistic Door panels, which was a rare and very expensive option, 2 interior ticket lights, 2 spotlights and an ammunition box in the trunk. This car runs wonderfully, shifts smooth and quick and is wonderful around town or on the freeway. It is very quiet and would make a great commuter and road trip car. The air and heat both work great. The seats are comfortable and are in great shape with no visible tears. County cars are some of the more desirable as they are retired earlier than many departments and with less idle hours, usually around 100k miles and 7,500 idle hours. This car has 96,494 mi and 4,059 idle hours. Other features include a fire suppression system and stab proof steel panels in the seats. Goodyear Eagle RSA tires have roughly 80% tread left. CVPI cars have significant cooling capabilities, have a higher performance intake and exhaust and easily run 200k or more miles. There are 2 issues with the paint/body, the lower door panels, particularly on the lower driver side were gouged when the Sherriff decals were taken off, it's only visible when you are pretty close. There is also a gouge in the rear bumper and a small tear. On the interior the steering wheel, like all of these cars is pretty worn and the footrest in front of the driver is showing wear. Both are inexpensive items and easy to replace. This car is Flex Fuel E85 compatible.
