OVERVIEW:- The seller is the original and outright/sole owner of this absolute cherry and rare quasi-classic, purchased brand new from Subaru of Dallas on June 23, 2004. Less than 3,000 of this North American STi first-year make/model were imported from Japan. The vehicle has been garaged its entire life and exceptionally maintained with military oversight, and over $26,585.49 of parts and labor documented with full/detailed receipts. Dealer serviced and according to recommended service schedule for entire life of the car, with the exception of some limited after market performance enhancements and minor maintenance. Only dinosaur Castrol oil 5W/30 and 93 octane (or better) used for entire life of car. Vehicle has never been commercial or 'drive-thru' car washed--only seller, dealership or professional car detailing services used for car care and cleaning. The functionality of the vehicle has also never been damaged and/or repaired in any way, shape or form as the result of a collision or any other form of abuse. Apart from seal, gasket, belt, fluid, hose, etc. changes, there has never been a significant failure of any component of the motor or drive train. Exceptional and strict maintenance practices/adherence throughout the entire life of the vehicle. At idle/cruise, motor/exhaust proudly exhibits the audible, distinct and beautiful Subaru 'muscled purr'! If starting the car with a cold engine, seller always accomplishes a 3-5 minute engine warmup before driving. 30-second engine running cool down (via turbo timer) always performed on engine stop. Significant aftermarket work is listed below, some work performed by Subaru dealerships and some by S&R Performance in Tampa, FL:- Cobb Accessport- Cobb 3" SS Down Pipe w/Cat Back Exhaust System- Reflashed ECU and dynoed professionally by S&R Performance in 2012- HKS Turbo Timer Type-1. The seller credits this device for preserving the life of the still-fully-functional original factory turbo! And very regular oil changes using only Castrol 5W/30 dinosaur oil.- GReddy Blow Off Valve Type-S. The bra still generally serves its purpose, but is in need of removal and/or replacement as the bra has many micro cracks that might be considered not very cosmetically appealing.- There are some minor scratches on the paint, a few have been professionally touched up. They are generally not noticeable until close inspection of the paint. A very small section of the hood scoop's paint is beginning to bubble--this will probably require some professional work to repair.- The driver's seat leather shows some wear, particularly near the left thigh area and left rib/back area.- The rear sway bar is currently disconnected. The car handles and drives perfectly well.
