Up for sale is a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Luxury Trim with Navigation, Dual Zone A/C, Rear View Camera, Steering wheel A/C and Audio Controls. I had this truck since 2014. The previous owner replaced the engine back in 2012. I had the transmission replaced back in 2015, remanufactured one. In early 2017 the following items were replaced. This vehicle has 3rd row seating and both power seats. I have gone from GA New York and driven it on the Autobahn in Germany at high speeds with zero issues. Strong truck and smooth ride. Starts up every time and you can take anywhere without hesitation. It has a full spare with good thread as well. New bottle jack. Rear glass panel was replaced because the old one had a crack in it. Normal Ford Explorer issue for this generation. Everything is wired in and works great, just never got around to painting it that is why it is white instead of color match to the car. Now the issues.Parking brake needs adjustment, the driver one is new, the passenger side has not been replaced yet. The truck is configured in 2WD mode. I have the front driveshaft if you wish to make it back AWD, I removed it when I had the transfer case serviced and the tires were worn out so it didn't damage the transfer case. Never put the front driveshaft back.Driver heater seat does not work, passenger side does. Working on getting it fixed.There is a rattle coming from in between the engine and tranny. Took it to Ford they said the transmission was bad, had it replaced but the noise still there, went to a different shop they also blamed the tranny. The tranny was removed again and could not identify the problem. Tranny place says its the engine. You hear it at low speed, however there is no power loss or hesitation or anything for that matter just the noise. I stopped looking for the issue. Once you go pass 40 mph you don't hear it. I was told possibly flex plate. The truck does not get use very often as I have three other cars and only three people that can drive. It is used to carry heavy stuff and then parked again. I drive it around just to keep everything working. It comes with the 1 7/8 Ball as well as the 2 inch one as you see on the picture. It has moonroof that works good.
