Up for sale is my 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra. It has 157K miles, CLEAN title and runs great. Only selling because I got a great deal to buy the car I want from a family member. She mainly needs new paint and a new A/C module ($100 online). Paint scraped a bit in the back and chipped on the driver door. The driver sun visor is torn up on the back side which isn't noticeable when not in use, and the weather strip could be replaced, easy and cheap too. Clutch quadrant was adjusted by the dealership and now it quietly makes this squeak when you're not resting your foot on it because theres less tension. Little interior trim can be touched up if you're looking for a show car. Otherwise everything else is great. Paid $9,000 beginning of last year not including about $3k that I have put into it, so this is a pretty good deal. Heres a list of things I have done over the past year and few months that I've had this car. - Replaced heads with refurbished ones (polished and ported, 50k miles on them) - New black top installed about 2 months ago - New Duracell battery- New oil pan gasket- Short throw shifter - Upgraded to Cobra R rims - Brand new tires installed a few days ago - New compressor, liquid line and other needed parts installed - Upgraded to smoked headlights - Upgraded to '01 cobra rear bumper, original '99 just says "Mustang" (over $600 online) - Still has Cobra amber taillights, but with tint. (over $500 alone online) I've done about everything I wanted to except the paint, but now its time to let someone else finish it. No catalytic converters (check engine light stays on until you get eliminators or a tuner) which is why it's LOUD and addicting to hear, with magna flow mufflers too. No doubt I'll miss the exhaust.. Since heads were replaced and oil pan gasket, you wont have to worry about blown head gasket or oil leaks like these older mustangs can get, its all ready to go.
