This car has been in one BMW loving family since birth in 2004. I bought the car from my father-in-law in 2012. While in my father-in-law's hands, he followed the factory maintenance religiously, and only serviced it at BMW dealerships. Under my ownership, I upgraded to the Mile Miller lifetime maintenance schedule, and have done a mix of my own maintenance (oil changes and easy stuff), and relied on Bimmerworks in West Chester, PA for the rest. Bimmerworks is an independent, BMW specializing shop owned by a BMWCCA member and enthusiast who is passionate about keeping BMWs running their best. The car is in beautiful condition. I have all the maintenance records. The car shifts, drives, and runs as it should. The top operates flawlessly. The car has the upgraded harman/kardon stereo and sounds great. It is Imola red with black top and black leather interior and aluminum trim. Current tires on the car are Michelin Pilot Super Sports on factory original 19" rims. The only two parts that are not original to this car are 1) the shifter...when I bought the car, the backlight on the shifter no longer worked, and I learned that instead of getting the E46 M3 shifter, I could retrofit the M5 shifter which had the same backlighting and also had matching aluminum trim, so I did it. The other bonus is that it is almost an inch shorter than the original, providing a shorter throw. 2) The center arm rest leather had cracked when I bought the car, and the leather that replaced it has a little more texture to it than the factory leather. It's the kind of thing only I notice, but I should mention it. In addition to the car, included are: -full set of snow tires mounted on Beyern rims-ipod interface for music-wind screen-extra floor mats for the back-both factory supplied key fobs-full maintenance records from birth Integrity is important to me, and I don't want to waste your time or mine, so I will be very specific about minor condition issues up front here:-Minor curb rash on wheels-Very minor surface dent that if I didn't point it out to you, you probably wouldn't find it.-A couple very minor surface scratches in the finish near the rear.-Steering wheel leather on the top third is showing its age a little by taking on a mixed black/brown patina. Still in great condition, just discolored slightly on top.-Driver's seat outboard bolster has wear. Stitching is all 100% intact, but leather after 14 years shows a little age. No serious cracking anywhere.-CD player has not worked since I owned the car. Instead of paying to be able to play a dozen songs, I bought an external input for an ipod and just use that for unlimited music. The ipod lives in the glove compartment and comes with the car as well as that whole interface.-This is a daily driver (that said, I only put under 5,000 miles on it per year), so the mileage will change from this listing.-In 2015, while parallel parked in Wayne, PA, someone creeping out of their spot backed into the front bumper. As a result, the bumper and hood were replaced with factory original BMW body parts. It was expertly repaired at Classic Coach Works in Wayne, PA. Given that by this age the hood had some stone chips in it, I'd consider this an upgrade :-). No deposit is necessary, but given this, I expect us to meet in person and close the sale within 3 days of the auction ending. It's only fair to me to be able to move on quickly and re-list if you are not following through.
