This is a 2002 Mercury Sable, it's loaded however - the underneath body is badly rusted out, the last guy that replaced the rear tire had to use a weld joint to jack on and looked very nervous. The engine leaks about a quart of oil every two months. The best thing about this car is the transmission - I had a new transmission installed in January 2012 when it had 113,981 miles on the odometer (look at the Jasper Transmission record, the transmission alone cost $1900.00) - the mileage on the car odometer now is 144738 which means this transmission only has 30,757 miles on it and it is flawless. I have been driving this car back on forth to work for the last 5 years and stopped driving it on Tuesday 5/8/2018 because there is a open door alarm that comes on intermittently. The car has a battery that was replaced in Dec/2017, the tires still have about 10K on them, the brakes are fair however, there is a ABS light that came on about 6 months ago, also an exhaust sensor that came on about a year ago after I had the fuel pump replaced. There is a small leak in the trunk when it rains hard and a small leak in the firewall near the brake pedal when it rains hard. This car is driveable, I disconnected the battery on 5/8 /2018 when I had the intermittent door alarm however, I can reconnect the battery and it will take right off - so you can drive it back to your destination if you wish. I have recently bought a van and really just need to get it out of the driveway - no reserve, best wishes!On May-12-18 at 13:49:09 PDT, seller added the following information: One other good thing about the vehicle is that it has a good WV Inspection Sticker and it is good until October, 31, 2018 - again the best thing about this vehicle is that Bob's Truck & Car installed a new Jasper Transmission in Jan/2012 and the Transmission only has 30K on it because I only drive this vehicle about 5K a year, mainly back and forth to work.
