This 1976 model has the most desired features by the mainstream market:Larger 2-F Motor with oil cooler and bigger oil veins; 4-speed Transmission; Rear Ambulance Doors; The Restoration process begins by disassembling the FJ40 body. The hard top was removed and dismantled. All body attachments inside and out were removed from the body including doors, hood, fenders, hinges, roll bar, seats, bumpers, all attachments, etc. After disassembling 108 individual parts were sandblasted to white metal and sealedwith self-etching primer for the ultimate rust protection. Each part was hand sandedthree times before painting to assure the ultimate smooth finish. All body parts wereindividually painted before reassembly. The factory acrylic enamel paint was used for a factory finish. Roll bar, seat frames, instrument panel,glove box door, ashtray, air filter housing, hood hooks and gas line cover are powdercoated. Emblems and turn signals were replaced with new ones. Top and front grill were refinished to new condition. The FJ40 interior received new seat upholstery, new seals around doors. Dash pull knobs have all been professionally restored, taken apart completely and refinished. Hardware: All nuts/bolts and much of the FJ40 hardware has been re-plated to its original factory look with a non-corrosive yellow zinc plating. Finished interior looks and smells new. Engine Overhaul: This is a complete Land Cruiser 2-F engine overhaul, the view under the hood is impressive. Valve cover and air cleaner are bead blasted and painted. Hardware has been re-plated to its original factory look with a non-corrosive yellow zinc plating.
