This car was purchased new from Sonny Hancock Pontiac in Gastonia, North Carolina on March 23,1978. I purchased this car on October 17, 1997 from the original owners brother who had acquired it from his brothers estate in June of 1997. When I purchased the car it had 21,118 miles. It now has 23,139 miles. It has been garage kept in the same North Carolina county since new. Y88 Special Gold Edition, Anniversary Solar Gold Metallic Paint. The brown and gold Firebird Hood Mural and Trans-Am graphics are bright and sharp. This car has it's original paint that shows well. The paint on the spoiler is thin on the ridge but is original. Above the right door are a couple of chips in the paint, the spoiler has a one inch scratch that has been touched up, the left side headlight bezel has spots on it that look like someone dripped something and didn't wipe it off. The camel tan interior is original. The vinyl seats and the carpet show little or no fading or discoloration. The dash is un-cracked and everything is functional except the clock. The A/C is functional and is cool, not ice cold. It needs to be serviced. The 6.6 (400ci) V8 and the 3 speed automatic transmission are original and unmolested. The exhaust system was replaced in 2015 with new Magna Flow exhaust. The car runs and drives as great as it looks.
