Welcome 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7                                                       Description 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 This extremely rare car represents the last of the Mercury muscle cars. It was built on the last production month for the model year. 1973 was also the last year that a 4-speed was offered with a 351 CJ (Cobra Jet) 4bl. Engine. Of the over 60,000 Cougars built that year 2,850 were ordered with the 351CJ and only 424 with 4-speed transmissions. This particular car is documented back to it’s original owner including actual dealer paperwork, Marti Report, window sticker and build sheet. This is a drive anywhere car with a professional engine build which features closed chambered heads, Keith Black dished pistons, Ford Motorsports bolt down rockers, Canton windage tray, custom ground Isky cam (cam card included) with all the rebuild information. Making the car truly a highway worthy ride is the 5-speed overdrive transmission with Hurst shifter! The Saddle Bronze paint is in excellent condition and rides on a set of period correct Ansen wheels. Other features include factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.
