1964 ½ Ford Mustang – One Owner Titled on May 26, 1964. 260 Cu. In. V8. Automatic. Coupe. VIN 5F07F122743. Original engine and transmission. Comments: My parents bought this original Mustang in 1964, right before they were married. It was a daily driver until 1991 and has approximately 90,000 miles on the odometer. Many of the service records were kept. It sat in a garage from 1991 until November 2017, when my family decided to surprise my mother by getting the Mustang running while she was away on vacation. We focused on the mechanical aspect of the car, and it is now in running condition. My mother has decided that she doesn’t want to invest in the cosmetics and has decided to sell the car. As you can see from the pictures, body work and rust repair is needed. However, much of the mechanical work was completed. The mechanical work can be verified by the facility that completed the repairs. This would be a perfect fixer-upper for someone with the capability to do body work. The car is as much a head turner now as it was in the sixties. It’s a very fun car. Mechanical Repairs Completed in November 2017: New brakes and brake lines, new tires, master cylinder, condenser, air filter, oil and oil filter, new exhaust system, complete engine tune-up, thermostat, radiator cap and coolant, coolant hose kit, battery, fuel fill gasket, gas tank and fuel lines, gas tank filler, shocks, fuel pump, fuel sender unit, rebuilt carburetor, muffler, wiper blades.
