Vehicle Detail
For sale is a very solid 1972 CZ 250 MX machine that is unrestored and needs a new home and a bit of TLC to bring it up to a good level of rideability and enjoyment. It may or may not run in its present state of condition, but will be able to be made to run with a minimal level of time, money, and elbow grease. I am sorry that I have only 3 photographs of the bike for sale and two more photos of my other 1972 CZ 250 MX bike that is only intended as a representative of what the bike I am selling should look like with a bit of a facelift. The bike shifts through all 4 gears normally and the clutch seems to grab normally as well. The engine kicks through normally and has good compression. I would highly recommend that the new owner spend the first few hours with the bike and do a carburetor cleaning or overhaul as well as installing a new set of ignition points and condenser. This will give the very best chance of easy starting and best performance. The brakes seem fine and grab without binding. The exhaust pipe appears to be original and in good condition. The parts I mentioned above are readily available on E-Bay or through CR High Performance in Fallbrook, California. The true CZ enthusiast probably has them in their own inventory already!Anyone who knows anything about CZ's is already familiar with the legendary strength and durability of the engines and transmissions and the basic good handling characteristics of the bike considering the level of technology and suspension that was common 46 years ago. I had to put something with respect to the vehicle title, so I went with clear rather than salvage or rebuildable. As the bike is 46 years old, no warranty is expressed or implied. It is sold as is, where is. I do reserve the right to end the auction early for a solid offer, so no tears or sour grapes as the bike is being sold in a no reserve auction and is being offered locally in Las Vegas as well. If I get the full "Buy It Now" price, I will also include a very rare, but nice to have vintage can of unopened Blendzall Green Label Racing Castor oil. It would look great in your trophy case or display shelf. It is very rare and very expensive if and when you can find it. Please feel free to send your questions to me and I'll do my best to answer them as accurately and quickly as possible. Like I mentioned above, this is a no reserve auction and if all I get is the starting price, so be it! My loss, your gain! I do reasonably expect people to bid accordingly and pay for it once they win it at the end of the auction. It could be YOU who will be enjoying this vintage machine in the near future, so please don't sleep on it or wait to snipe during the last hour of the auction. Good luck and happy bidding! On Apr-10-18 at 04:30:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi one and all! For some reason, the Buy It Now price of $3,000.00 has vanished into thin air as has happened to a few of my auctions in the past. Apparently, this is quite a common occurrence and E-Bay is really not much help in resolving the issue. To the point. I will still honor the $3,000.00 Buy It Now price. On Apr-10-18 at 09:01:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi to one and all once again! Read the information below very carefully! I have decided to add something else to the deal to make it even nicer. I originally had a "Buy It Now" price of $3,000.00 which somehow disappeared after the first bid. I spoke to E-Bay about it and they actually researched it and came back to me and explained that if there is no reserve price, the Buy It Now option disappears. It is something for us all to think about for future auctions. To add to the auction, I will include two incomplete bikes in need of restoration. One is another 1972 CZ 250 yellow tanker and the other a 1973 CZ 250. That is the first model year with a 5 speed transmission. They are very good and relatively solid base models to get back up to speed with a minimal investment of time and money. IF THE FINAL AUCTION PRICE MEETS OR EXCEEDS THE ORIGINAL $3,000.00 "Buy It Now" PRICE THAT I ORIGINALLY OFFERED FOR THE ONE BIKE, I WILL GIVE THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER ALL 3 BIKES, PLUS THE CAN OF BLENDZALL! AGAIN, PLEASE BE CLEAR, THERE ARE TWO PHOTOS OF MY 1972 CZ 250 MX BIKE FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY. YOU DO NOT GET THAT ONE! I MAY SELL IT AT A LATER TIME, BUT IT IS NOT PART OF THIS AUCTION. I AM ADDING A PHOTO OF THE TWO OTHER BIKES THAT WILL BE INCLUDED IF THE FINAL AUCTION PRICE MEETS OR EXCEEDS $3,000.00
