Up for auction is a very nice driver quality 1988 Mercedes 300 SEL with only 142,500 miles on the odometer. Just had new wheels and tires installed and they look fabulous. I purchased the car as a retirement gift for my wife but find she doesn't really use her all that much. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanical s: The car runs great and drives very nicely. Very good throttle response and gets down the road very nicely. Car starts right up with no issues, smoke or noises. No engine ticks, taps or rattles. The car comes with a very large file with nearly $11k in receipts. Items replaced include new fuel injectors, new motor mounts, new fuel pump relay, New ignition coil, new distributor cap, new rotor button, new camshaft seal, new valve cover gasket, new idle arms, new tie rods, new center link, new brakes, new power steering pump, new ball joints, new timing cover, new brake master cylinder and some other items. Car is fully loaded with all the factory options including power sunroof. Exterior: Great looking car for 30 years old. The car shows well in the photos and presents herself well in person. All glass is scratch and cloud free. Just had installed all new factory wheels, new wheel center caps, new lug nuts and all new tires all of which only have about 10 miles on them at a cost of nearly $1400. Interior: Is nice and tidy as seen in the photos. You wouldn't know this was a 30 year old as the interior looks so nice. Seats have no tears, great carpet / floor mats and perfect headliner. Car was just professionally detailed hence the plastic over the floor mats. Glove box has all the original books and manuals. Original radio and new power antenna. All power Mercedes options. Trunk: The trunk is rock solid and looks like new. Original spare tire and factory tools.
