Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my late Father's, 1951 Ford Custom Convertible. It had a body off restoration in 2008 I believe. This is still one of the finest of it's kind. The 239 Flathead V-8 engine was totally detailed out. Each and every piece of chrome and stainless has been redone. Every piece of weatherstripping has been replaced. The undercarriage is detailed. All suspension, engine, 3-speed w/Overdrive on column, exhaust, brakes, fuel system, cooling, system, etc. have been rebuilt. It drives very well. There was no expense spared or detail overlooked. Nearly show ready. It runs and drives great and sounds nice too.Only 1000 miles or so miles driven after frame-off restoration. Brand new convertible top and hydraulic pump. Car cover and wheel skirts included as well as all receipts. It just had a recent fluid check as well as a new fuel pump and battery installed this month. The blower, radio, and clock are not working. I may have an original radio for a 51' Ford available. If so, it will be included with the car. This 1951 has only been driven to and from car shows, and on sunny days. It has won several trophies which are included with the car. This was my Fathers pride and joy and took meticulous care of it. It always has been in a heated garage, under a car cover in Northlake IL.I welcome pre-purchase inspections, and will assist with any vehicle transport. I'm selling this Ford from my father's estate, hence the low starting price. Title is in hand. The vehicle is sold as is. If you have any questions, please ask and I'll try to answer them. Thanks for looking.
