This BMW is the final year of this body style and has been kept in a heated garage for all 25 years of its life, and its condition reflects that. This is a Canadian vehicle and as such the gauge cluster only provides metric information with only 115,000 kilometres (71,457 miles) the 1.8 litre 4 cylinder engine delivers crisp, responsive and economical power through the 5 speed manual transmission. Both engine and transmission have received fresh oil changes as well as oil filter for engine, and the clutch delivers strong contact. The engine bay is likewise in pristine condition and promises to keep engine noise to a minimum with a freshly installed OEM BMW hood sound insulation kit and also features a brand new battery. This vehicle has been road tested and inspected and is in spectacular condition top to bottom and is more than capable handling roads in the countryside or the city. The brake system has new rotors front and rear, new pads front and rear, new pad wear sensors front and rear. The interior has been professionally detailed and a brand new set of custom made floor mats have been installed to continue preserving the perfect condition silver/grey carpet. The optional sport seats are in mint condition with all features functioning as they should and have been treated with 303 Aerospace Protectant along with all rubber weatherstripping (doors/trunk). All amenities in the passenger compartment work without issue, including the BMW premium sound system which includes a factory amplifier and tweeters in the doors as well as heated front seats and all four power windows, which have been freshly aligned. A brand new EZ-ON OEM “German Cloth” top has just been installed featuring sealed deck seams and the OE style brushes at the lower sail panels. The top has also been treated with 303 Fabricguard waterproofing so that the water beads off the material. The manual top is operated with ease as the tonneau cover gas shocks have also been replaced promising years of near effortless raising and lowering without the concern of the often failing power tops of this era. The trunk is in perfect condition with all items intact The exterior is in immaculate condition, sporting the hard to find laguna green colour option. The paint has also been professionally clay barred, polished and waxed and presents with amazing clarity and depth. As with any 25 year old car there are a few minor flaws. The original BMW windshield has a small rock chip in the lower drivers side quadrant that has been there for 10 years and has not spread so the windshield has never been replaced. The passenger front marker light had a light scuff and is missing a small potion of its bezel. The drivers rear corner bump strip has a small scuff. The Michelin tires have decent tread but are showing signs of some cracking on the sidewalls. A quote from the Hagerty article regarding the import of this vehicle "Importing into the U.S. should be relatively straightforward given the car's 25-year age, which makes it exempt from DOT and EPA import restrictions." This vehicles date of manufacture is 03/92 which makes this car 26 years old this month!
