The car was restored around 2009 and still shows as if it were just finished. Hemmings featured the car in 2010 as a highlight in the Tom Mack auction at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The title shows 5,903 actual miles and was confirmed then to be a true less than 6k mile car and today is showing right at 6,100 miles. The story with the car is that it is a real SS 12 bolt 4 speed L78 car and was originally a campaign race car which is why the miles are so low. After the race history the car was treated to a frame off nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. Videos have been added to give a good close look at how the car actually appears. Mechanical: The solid lifter 396 fires right up and runs very strong. The block has been decked so I do not have proof of it being a numbers matching engine in the car, just hearsay. 4:11 gears make it a real sensation to drive. Power brakes stop on a dime. Body: Zero rust anywhere, no signs of any accident damage. Perfect floors, trunk, and drop offs. Beautiful paint that shows very well. Interior: Also very nice and tidy, original radio delete car, the dash has never been hacked. The car is sold as is, in Danville, VA, with no warranty.
