1978 Ford F250 Ranger Xlt 4x4. This is a great old truck. I am the third owner. I purchased it from a man that inherited it from his grandfather that bought it brand new. The man cared for this truck very well. The body and paint are all original. The mileage is 97,300 and is original. There is on small amount of rust starting to show on the right rear fender. No rust other than that. The inside of the bed is clean not beat up. Glass is all good. Interior is clean. The seat is like new under the added cover. The drive train is a 400cid, 4speed manual, 205 transfer case, dana 44 front end and dana 60 rear end 4.10 ratio. How ever this is a xlt it was ordered with out a/c. It does have cruise control but does not work not sure why. In the past year I have repacked the front wheel bearings. Replaced the brakes front and rear including a new master cylinder. When the brakes were replaced I replaced the front rotors and pads, rear brake shoes, all hardware and resurfaced the drums. The park brake even works. Replaced all the shocks. Replaced the front leaf springs with custom 2'' lift springs. Replaced both fuel tank sending units. It has a few small oil leaks coming from the transmission and transfer case but nothing major. Also replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets, spark plugs, cap, rotor and installed a remanufactured 2bbl carburetor with electric choke. Replaced the muffler with a magnaflow and installed dual tail pipes. The tires are LT235/85R16 Toyo M/T's with about 75% tread. I have the factory wheels with the original hub caps if you want them. The truck is solid. Runs and drives great! I'm going to miss this one if it sells. I have to many vehicles is the only reason I have it for sale. Email me with any questions.
