Volkswagen Vanagon Campmobile Van Camper 3-Door 2.1L. Although this is a "final spec" 1990 US vehicle, these vehicles were built in South Africa (SA) through 2002. This one has been modified to include many of the upgraded features of the newer South African vehicles: SA VW / Audi fuel injected 1.8L inline 4-cyl. engine, is higher tech and has 20% more HP than original water-boxer engine. Strong and reliable, never had any issues whatsoever, ready and able to drive anywhere. There's a very slight, intermittent rattle noise from auto shift stick - VW mechanic says it needs adjustment. A/C needs a recharge. I purchased this Westy in March '14, and have added only 6,000 miles, never used any of the appliances, only using the Westy as a place to sleep once or twice a week after an extra long day at work at DirecTV in Marina Del Rey (last pic), 60+ miles from where I live in South Orange County. The previous owner stated that the stove, sink, refrigerator were operational for him at one time, but that he and his family didn't use them when camping. Front bumper has minor damage - see photo. A few minor exterior paint imperfections. Aftermarket bass speaker under rear passenger seat is not connected. CD/radio works playing CD only, I would guess that the antenna connection loosened/came off the radio back. My Westy is also available for sale locally, and available for inspection.
