Specifications: 2003 Ford Explorer SUV, XLS, 2WD, 5-Door, Ford 4.0 Liter V6 Gas Engine, Automatic Transmission w/Overdrive, Hydraulic Brakes, Spring Suspension, Air Conditioning – Heat - Defrost, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Cruise Control, Cloth Seats, Carpet Floor, AM/FM/CD Stereo, Running Boards, Wheelbase 114”, Extra Key, GVWR – 5,700#, GAWR Front – 2,560#, GAWR Rear – 3,200#, P235/70R16 Tires, 16x7.0 Rims, VIN: 1FMZU62K13UB48504, 138,343 Miles, One Owner. Negatives to list: 1. Paint condition is poor in places, scratches were left with some being severe during the removal of the decals by the state agency, scratches along the sides of the body and along the trim pieces on the doors, the removal of the decals also left outlines which most likely can all be removed with a buff/polish. 2. Plastic black trim pieces all around truck are faded and discolored. 3. Wire hanging from the top roof of SUV presumably where the lightbar was connected. 4. Plastic blue trim piece on back truck deck lid is cracked. 5. Carpet stained in places and one small tear in the driver’s seat. 6. Volume knob on the radio is broken and can get stuck in the wide-open position. Located in Mississippi, this SUV belonged to a state agency in our neighboring state of Louisiana since new, one owner, was used Police/Security SUV at the port with all of the light bars and decals that it required but never had a cage, was driven by the police/security around the port since new, it was replaced with a new one because of age and appearance, not replaced because of any issues or problems! We purchased it directly from the state agency along with some other items, not from a broker or dealer, simply turning the SUV into cash. The unit cranks right up, has a hot battery, engine runs great, no visible leaks or “check’ engine type lights on, transmission shifts great, air conditioning is not cold (needs to be charged), heat is hot, drives down the highway great, cruise control works, tire condition can clearly be seen in the photos, the few negative things to mention are paint and where the decals have been removed, whoever the port hired or the employee they used to have the lights and decals removed did an absolutely horrible job leaving the SUV with scratches from what looks like a razor blade and visible outlines from the decals that were removed, the decals outlines will most likely buff/wax right out with a little effort but the scratches are there forever and I took as many detailed pictures and I could, besides that what you see is what you get and we are selling as is with NO RESERVE! Because the SUV has been sitting for some time waiting to be sold we would suggest a standard service to the fluids, filters, pressures, etc.… This SUV is over 15 years old, only has 138k miles on it and seems to have plenty of life left in it.
