Vehicle Detail
Here's a 1978 Honda Goldwing GL1000. Bike came from an estate sale. Was parked outside, sheltered for some time, and had not run since 1991. My goal was to ride it, and I got that done. Bike runs good, shifts through all gears, and stops good. Make no mistake this bike will need work, I've put about 60 miles on it since it's been running, but I've done all I want to and it's time for a new owner to do with the bike what they want...restore, or just continue cleaning/fine tuning to make the bike what you want. It is an awesome classic, you just don't seem them this complete much anymore. What I've done to get the bike to where it is now:Gas tank flushed. Carbs completely disassembled and cleaned, insides cleaned using soda blasting. Brand new needles/seats and bowl gaskets.New fuel filter and fuel hoses.Front brake calipers, and master cylinder disassembled, cleaned, flushed. Rear brake master cylinder rebuilt, new cups, system flushed (used Dot 4 fluid front and back).New front tire.Replaced RH fork seal.Fresh oil & filter.New battery (and charging system works fine). Will need rear shocks, the ones on it are seized. The rear tire has no weather checking/cracks, and is old, but has plenty of tread. Radio doesn't work. Turn signals light but don't blink unless the engine revs are up. Also comes with Bates rear saddle bags (pictured). Original tool kit and owners manual included.NO TITLE, but I'll provide a Bill of Sale. The bike is NOT on the CA DMV books any longer.Bike will be available for pickup in Livermore, CA. Shipping is your responsibility for setup and fees, however I'll make the bike available for your shipper. USHIP is a reliable and sometimes inexpensive method to set shipping up.
