So I am selling my Prius. I have had it in the storage unit for a year and I don't think I'm going to be getting to this project any time soon. In the meantime, I could use the money for a different project. I bought this car from a dealership in Orem, UT a year ago. The body on it is perfect. There is a little fading of the paint due to sun exposure, but you can hardly tell unless you know what you're looking for. There is some dry rot on the window rubber seals so that will need to be replaced and a couple of the latch release handles for the doors have some peeling paint on them. Those are the small things that I know about. I haven't really gotten into the depth of the car to look around at all the details of the mechanical parts to see what else. I am not a mechanic. It runs and drives, but it loses power frequently. The dealers technician says that it will require a new hybrid battery to the tune of $4000, but they say that I could install the new one myself and save $1300. They would sell me a brand new Battery for $2700, and I could put it in myself for a gain of $1300 OR.....I could put a used battery....( a used replacement can be acquired for $900.) But I currently have all of my liquid funds involved in other projects, and no longer have the desire to make a profit off of this one....so....my loss is your gain! Pick up this low priced 2007 Toyota Prius, add a little sweat equity, and profit from this gem. It only has 139,000 original miles. You could fix it and keep it for yourself or your wife as a reliable car...or you could fix it and sell it for a profit. Or fix it and drive it as an Uber car! Once it is fixed, it's nice...AC....leather seats....perfect for driving Uber if that's what you're in to. This car is being sold "As Is" with no warranty of any kind neither expressed nor implied.
