Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my very rare, very German Mercedes 300D diesel. Rare 4speed Manual 300D (was not offered in the US market)**IMPORTANT NOTICES**THIS CAR IS A MODEL YEAR 1982. HOWEVER, BECAUSE IT WAS IMPORTED FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY, THE VIN IS NOT STANDARDIZED TO US FORMAT. THEREFORE IT HAD TO BE LISTED AS A 1980 MODEL YEAR ON EBAY. THE MILEAGE ON THE ODOMETER READS 116,XXX. HOWEVER, THE TRUE MILEAGE IS CLOSER TO 150,XXX. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THAT. This car was built, purchased and driven in West Germany for the first 3 years of its life. It was imported and federalized in the US in the early 80's. This car is truly one of a kind. Very rare and very hard to find. Very low miles for this car. It only has 116,624 miles on the odometer. (145,000 true miles ESTIMATED*) -(When the car was federalized for US use the KPH cluster was swapped for a MPH Cluster. The odometer works along with all other gauges) There were only 20 of these cars that were ever brought over from Germany, and of those 20, only 5 were still on the road 4 years ago. The car is currently insured with CCA for $20,000 and fully restored, could fetch over $25,000 at auction. This is a non turbo 300D. The turbo was only offered as an option in the US Market. This car does not have AC. That also was not a typical option in the German market. It's manual everything. Manual sun roof manual windows. It's super clean inside. It runs and drives great. The clutch is good. Tires are OK, but were of a cheap brand, so might have some flat spots from sitting. Shakes a little bit when you get around 75MPH. Could probably use a balance and rotation. The bad, it NEEDS rear brakes and rotors (still readily available at any parts store). There is some common rust that this vehicle is prone to. Most of it is underneath. The rear shocks squeak when cold, and there is a small oil leak (most of these cars leak oil). I never have to add oil in between oil changes. Just some droplets on my driveway from when it sits. I have all service records going back to Germany. This car is truly a piece of history. PLEASE REVIEW INFORMATION AND ALL PICTURES BEFORE MAKING AN OFFER OR BID. I HAVE REPRESENTED THIS VEHICLE HONESTLY AND FAIRLY. THANKS!
