1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport with Rough Country lift. Has the venerable 4.0 inline 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Vehicle is showing code P0700 for the transmission. Had a few others, but after erasing and driving, only P0700 has returned. Transmission works good, so I have no idea what this could imply- whether it is a simple nip-it-in-the-bud fix, or portends something more serious down the road, I don't know- I just know it is operating well now- so do keep this in mind when you bid, and if you have any concerns please come and test-drive and inspect it in person. Runs and drives nice. Has great-sound Alpine stereo with amp. Does have a cracked windshield, and some typical rust, as one would expect for it's age- but not bad. All in all, a good functioning 4x4 that you can have fun with or use as a winter vehicle. NOTE: It comes with a NY State 907A Salvage certificate [It ended up at a salvage auction because it had been a charitable donation]. so in order to get a NY title, you must first have it inspected by a NYS DMV facility and submit the proper paperwork. You may need to obtain a NY title in order to title it in your state, or not....it is up to you to know whast your state requires and how they deal with other state's salvage certificates- so please be aware that this is not something in which you just sign on the dotted line and send the form off and get back a title in the mail.
