This is the 40th anniversary of the Honda CBX . Released in 1978 to Europe and in 1979 to the rest of the world. The Honda CBX in this condition is becoming ever harder to find. I offer my 1979 Honda CBX in Candy Glory Red with 5,057 original miles. I am second owner of this CBX. Original owners manual and complete tool kit are included. This bike has been kept in a climate controlled warehouse and sports original tires, the wheel rims have number stamps visible, rear case halves have the Showa stamps clearly visible. Exhaust system is correct 422, no rotting and original to this bike. this bike starts and runs well. The Honda CBX sport kit is present. When I bought this CBX from the original owner I had it shipped. The shipper lost my bike and it was found a month later in a Denver warehouse and had sustained some damage. Please see the pictures of the Headlight (a small crack), the right rear of the tank (a 3mm length thin scratch) Front edge of tank under the triple tree ( small chip), the tail piece has a small crack along the thin edge nearest the tail light ( I will post a picture later). Decal on the sport kit foot rest was damaged in shipping and a duplicate aftermarket was placed. The oil cooler hoses were replaced with stainless steel wrapped oil lines. Sport kit foot rest were polished, valve cover was ceramic coated. There was no helmet lock with this bike though the sticker was present. I think I have covered everything I can recall on this CBX. The engraved points cover will not be included with the bike, I will mount the original cover upon successful sale of this CBX. This CBX is a classic and is being sold as such with no warranty expressed nor implied. Wining bidder will be responsible for making a deposit and contacting me within 24 hours from auction closure. The Honda CBX was released to all in 1978; dealers in the US had CBX's in 1978. This CBX bears a 1978 production date as does the Showa date reflect a 1978 engine assembly. This CBX was assembled in 1978 and titled in 1979. My apology if my original narrative misled anyone. This I confirmed with Ian Fosters "The CBX Book pg. 67.
