Vehicle Detail
Ebay took my add down and it was a mistake and now its back on again, I'm sorry to all those who showed interest so now I have to start all over again. I'm going to try to sell my car one more time. I have a 1964 Impala SS, True SS with numbers matching 300 HP 327. The motor was rebuilt at Superior Machine shop in Reno NV. Pricey but Well known as one of the best. Perfectly straight and Balanced Motor with Flat tops .040 over, 2.02s & 1.60s installed in factory stock camelback heads. Edelbrock RPM performer intake and cam and valve train was blue printed. All new MSD ignition, Hooker supercomp headers, and a Holly 770 vacuum secondary carb. Yes it's juiced up a bit but it runs so good, Not over done and very street able. I cruised it at the last two Hot August nights in Reno and a few other shows in our area and it runs really good. It also has a new Griffin Radiator and extra electric backup fan. This car had a frame off restoration less then 3 years ago, all new body mounts, all new bushings and front end parts, new power steering and power Brakes with Disc on the front. The Muncie 4-speed is completely rebuilt with all new bearings, synchroes and shift forks, It shifts so nice and tight with the Hurst comp plus linkage. 11inch clutch with new drive line, carrier bearing and 3.55 Richmond rear gear. The car has just under 2,000 miles since restored and I really love it and hate to sell but I'm retired and just spent a week in the Hospital. I'm not up against the wall yet so I'm in no hurry but my Wife says I have to make some hard choices and that's just the way it is. This is a very nice car and also has the tilt wheel option, has power steering and power Disc Brakes. It runs great and drives like new or better but like most of these old cars it's not perfect. It still needs a couple things, the vent window regulators need replaced and they are 89.99 apiece from Classic Industries, also it needs a new Windshield wiper motor or maybe it could be fixed but it acts crappy, I didn't worry about it cause I didn't drive in bad weather, a new one is 279.99 for a 2 speed motor. The rear glass is water spotted pretty bad and they are like 299.99 from Classic. There are a couple small dings in a couple of the trim pieces but they are all original and original is far better than any of the after market stuff I have seen , after market trim is mostly junk in my opinion. And I would have liked to re chrome the bumpers but they are in great shape and look just fine for 53 years old, that old chrome was good stuff. Other then that it is just a really nice driver. I also have the original SS hub caps, steering wheel and exhaust manifolds and some other stuff. For more info you can call Dan at 530 927-7992 If you win the bid I will wait 7 days for you to come get the car before I repost the add. When you come get the car we go to the bank deposit the cash and you take the car. I will even throw in one night plus dinner at the Peppermill or Atlantis if you want. If you are going to have a car hauler pick up the car you can have the driver bring me a cashiers check, when the check clears we will load up the car.
