He used it until about 2008 when he parked it in his barn. I found it and bought it in march of this year. I tweaked it back to daily driver condition. The previous owner replaced the original 216 engine wth a good and... upgraded 235 6 cyl engine. It iruns great with no knocks misses or smoke. it has plenty of power and always fires right up. I did a complete tune up to it. I replaced the original brake master cylinder with a new one and replaced a rear wheel cylinder and brake line so the truck stops. I would recommend doing the other three lines and cylinders but you can drive it the way it is as the video shows. I replaced the original gas tank with a brand new gas tank. I was told at one point he replaced the doors from a another truck as the original doors were starting to show rust. He repainted the truck over 30 years ago. The truck shows great patina and still retains some dings and dents and minor rust in spots, Really watch the video and pics so you can see what the truck is. If I were to keep the truck, I would not do a thing to it body wise as it looks good to me the way it is. As the video show, the wood in the box looks good, there is a steel bed on top of the wood. The tailgate has one hinge that is really solid but the other hinge should be welded on. The glass is all there, the driver side door window has cracks. The window regulators should be re lubed as they are stiff going up and down. the floors pans were re welded solid. the seat has a seat cover over the original seat. the seat supports well. This is a truck that runs and drives that is ready to be taken to the next level. It was converted to a 12 volt system but the original wire harness is still in tact if you want to go back to 6 volt. The headlight have been wired to work.The tires hold air but they are old and should be replaced. This truck has a minnesota title ready for you to register matching the vin tag. The air cooler and plates and dash manets do not go with the truck as they are part of my personal collection.
