Up for auction is my 1966 Buick Riviera. I am known to be the 3rd owner, the previous owner had the car for 21 years before acquiring it from the original owner in Indiana. The car is the Buick Silver Green with Black interior. The engine is a STRONG running 425 nailhead that is believed to be in original condition. It doesn't smoke or leak a drop. The turbo 400 transmission shifts beautifully with no issues. The interior is in near new condition, with the exception of a 3" seam separation on the driver side seat bottom. The headliner is in perfect condition, no rips or staining. The rear seats looks like it was never sat in. All dash functions work just as they should and the headlights operate beautifully. The roller speedometer was repaired back in the early 2000's, and the clock was converted to digital from analog so it keeps time perfectly. The car was repainted some time I believe in the late 70's, to early 80's, it was Zeibart as well. It was done in lacquer and looks good as a nice cruise in car, but if you wanted a near Concours show car, it could be done again. The floors, trunk and underside are in amazing shape, no patches ever. The body mounts are still soft and supple. The car drives excellent, no pulling or vibrations. All chrome and stainless is in great shape as well. The car has GS wheels on it that were restored, as well as the original steel wheels and hubcaps. The ignition was converted to electronic breakerless, which is a no cut direct bolt in, and is completely concealed under the original cap. The A/C is original R12, which still as some refrigerant, but could use a charge. The passenger rear window switch on the driver door doesn't always work, but works perfect from the rear, so that will need attention sometime in the future with a new switch. The exhaust is also starting to show age and wear and could be replaced. Those are the only notable issues with the car. The original manuals, books, tools and spare are in the trunk. The truck material and covers are all all original in nice shape. This is a beautiful Riviera, but we are looking to move into a new house, and we could use the money. It has never had a full restoration, only what seems to be a repaint. The car has ALWAYS been stored indoors and has never seen any type of inclement weather, and rarely rain.
