Vehicle Detail
1964 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL 4 Door Sedan. Brand new interior with all door panels, headliner, carpet and the seats replaced 960 miles ago. Car was driven from Los Angeles to Phoenix Arizona and back. After making this trip over a year ago car was parked where it sits today. It would need new battery and a front tire as shown in the photograph. Car also needs a good car wash and vacuum cleaning. Other than that nothing is needed as far as I know. Car ran very strong without any problems whatsoever in last trip to Arizona. it is part of a collection of many classic cars that is being sold on eBay. It has been a California car therefore no rust. Bidders are encouraged to test drive this car or have it inspected by a Chrysler or an independent car service/repair shop in order to obtain the detailed report on it before bidding on this car. I can explain everything as a non-mechanic who drove this car many times in last few years. I'm reducing the collection of my classic cars and most of them have to go as we are in process of moving to Europe for good. Since I am not a mechanic and cannot explain technical issues and this is why I encourage buyers to have this car fully inspected at your expense. Picture speaks a thousand words. If you need any specific type of a photograph of any specific area of concern, please let me know and I will try my best to get this done at the earliest. Please don't ask me technical questions as I don't have the knowledge like a mechanic would. However, I highly encourage the buyers to ask any question that I can perhaps answer. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions before bidding. I do have a chromed air filter that was on the Edlebrock carburetor but I can't seem to find it. if I find it, its yours. If not, then the car will be sold without it. It is required that I declare to the prospective buyers of this 54 years old classic car that seems to be in very good condition when it was driven little over a year ago. But this car is being sold on AS IS and WHERE IS basis without any EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED warranties, guarantees, or any expressions about the reliability and the overall mechanical and related condition of this car. Buyer is responsible for the determination of the overall condition of this car and it is highly advisable and encouraged to have this car evaluated by your choice of mechanic or the dealer. I am willing to have the car taken to your choice of the repair shop or the dealer at your expense within 10 miles where many such repair shops exists. It normally runs between $95 to $125 for such independent shops to test drive and evaluate the overall condition of this car. Car will be sold with a non-refundable deposit of $500 payable via PayPal or bank to bank wire transfer, if you don't have a Paypal account. Remaining balance of the sale price must be paid within 3 days after the ending of the auction. If you decide to pay via Paypal the full amount of the purchase price of the car, you must pay the Paypal fee as well. If not, you can pay with bank to bank transfer that we can mutually agree upon. I have the clear California title that will be sent to the buyer per his/her advice by the seller. Car will be released upon receiving the full amount of the sale price in my bank or paid through a mutually agreed arrangement between the Buyer and the Seller. Full payment is due within 3 days after the completion of the sale unless arranged in writing between the Buyer and the Seller for additional time requested for the full payment. It is perhaps one of the cleanest 1964 Imperial on eBay with the exception of those cars that are being restored for car shows. It is not a Pebble Beach show car but a very good looking and respectable car to be drive just the way it is without any additional cosmetic improvements if driven as a daily or an ordinary driving car once it is washed and detailed properly. Buyer must have this car towed from my home in order to have the tire and the battery replaced. I have a Mercedes mechanic who moonlights on the side and if he is willing to replace the tire and the battery, I'll let the Buyer directly coordinate with him. You must make this arrangement ahead of time before the end of the auction. I am not taking any responsibilities of any repairs of this car between the Buyer and the Mechanic. it will be a private arrangement between the Buyer and the Mechanic without my responsibilities of any kind whatsoever. I would rather not do any kind of repairs as it may create problems between me and my wife. So this has to be something that must be worked out way ahead of the bidding on this car. All communications must be through eBay messaging in writing so there are no confusion about he said this and I said that etc! During a water hosing of the car, I noticed two dings on top of the roof of the car. I don't know how it got there. Bur they not interfere in any way in the operation of the car whatsoever. They can be popped up from inside by hand, I've been told. It's the ding that caused the sheet metal of the roof to dent inward but without causing any damage. Good luck with your bidding. This is a no-Reserve auction and the highest bidder buys this car. I know the market value of this car in the condition it is but we are not looking to get the market value but trying to get rid of this and many other classic cars that I will be listing from time to time. I will not engage on discussing the others cars from my collection due to the fact that I am also selling many cars directly to the dealers and the private collectors through my network of collector friends and their friends etc. Thank you for reading the details. Feel free to ask any question before bidding! On Nov-28-17 at 11:32:52 PST, seller added the following information: Note: Few bidders have asked the question about the interior condition of this car. As it is shown in the photographs that the interior was done little over a year ago and it is almost brand new. All the seats, door panels, headliner, floor and the dashboard are redone at cost of $3,485.00. I can't find a 1964 Imperial on eBay with this kind of new interior. It will start shining once it is cleaned up. Obviously, there are no rips, scratches, or signs of any abuse or use on the entire interior.
