BACKGROUND And let's start with this car’s history. Ordered by a golden years family, this car has seen and easy carefree and loved life. Never abused, never a single accident, and always serviced ahead of schedule! Painted in classic BMW Alpine White, this crisp beautiful color shines even in the dimmest light. This stunning white adds texture and dimension to the otherwise the mix of both strong and gentle body lines. Add to it the Bamboo Beige Novillo Leather interior and the combination looks both classic and aggressive! Standard features included: A monstrous 414hp V8 making 295 lb-ft of torque. 4.0L with 32 Valves and over 8,000 rpm redline! 6-Speed Manual Transmission Variable M Differential Dynamic Stability Control M Suspension Xenon Adaptive low and high beams with auto-leveling and cornering. HD Radio Rain sensing wipers Advanced airbags with head, shoulder and front bags. Adaptive brake lights Enormous BMW M 4 wheel discs. Dual zone climate control and SO, SO MUCH more. The base price of this stunning M3 was $58,400 all but 6 years ago! Then came the options!! This was a special order car, not one ordered by the dealer and was given only a few options to keep the wonderful luxury of BMW, but not to ignore the roots of of this being a true sports car. The M3 was given the Premium Package which added Power Auto Folding Mirrors, Universal Garage Opener, Carbon Leather Interior Trim, Digital Compass in the Mirror and BMW Assist for $2,000. Then the car was also optioned with 19" Double Spoke Alloy Wheels for $1,250. With destination charge, and fees this car cost over $63,825 out the door only recently! Add in tax and this baby was WAY more! This is a HUGE amount of car, performance and money for the price. With only 31,000 miles, it looks and rides like new. This white luxury lion has lived with the same family her entire life and been garaged every night. This is a last of an era M3. Naturally aspirated, high revving V8 that did not become the MASSIVE car that the new M3/M4 have become. Still smaller and more, well... M3. CONDITION & SERVICE This car has been ENTHUSIASTICALLY and PROFESSIONALLY maintained. Moreover, it was serviced exclusively by the dealer, and very highly respected independent BMW shops. LOADS of carefree miles to go! Some people get nervous about the expense of a luxury car such as this. In 31,000 miles, only minor nonscheduled serviced has been needed. No grenaded engines, no blown transmissions, no complicated electrical gremlins! It has been detailed regularly for its entire life and shows it! Any time there was a small cosmetic flaw, or any issue it was immediately taken care of - this car presents FANTASTIC. Just received a dealer full inspection and walked away with flying colors! Let's start on the engine and drivetrain: -ENGINE This engine has great miles for the year (an average of about 4,500 a year), 31,000 miles appear on the odometer and the car shows the same care throughout. Starts right up, no issues, no check engine lights - ZERO stories. But let's chat about that engine for a second. What an engine it is! GOBS of power - a tame kitten around town, a RABID BENGAL TIGER with a heavy right foot. The 414hp feels not a hp shy and the car springs to occasion if you give it the opportunity. And the revs! Oh my the revs. Over 8,000 rpm of harmonic V8 joy, it just keeps puling and pulling and pulling. Just passed smog a few months ago, no problems. Receipts for service show repeatedly the phrase "Guest request to perform" - a true sign of love and care of a car! Recent coolant replacement. Recent oil replacement. -TRANSMISSION Shifts are VERY satisfying and tight. It is a pleasure to row gears on this beauty. No notchiness when cold. And we can talk about how much BETTER it is to row your own gears than to bang around town in the DCT paddle boxes. This is a true classic M3 in its soul. A high revving engine with a true manual. -DIFFERENTIAL BRAND NEW gear fluid and friction modifier. When cold on tight turns, the diff will still groan a little as all M3 do until the fluid is warm. Lets move to the suspension and brakes: -BRAKES BRAND NEW brake fluid. Babied and near new brake pads in the front and rear - loads of pad life! The car brakes great. Nice linear pedal pressure, not too soft, not too hard of a pedal. Great feel for the road in the pedal too - not too isolated! -SUSPENSION The shocks dampen the ride wonderfully and control the springs perfectly. No clunks, bangs, noises or knocks. They are tight in corners, but yet supple around town! EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE!! -STEERING BRAND NEW factory alignment. BRAND NEW power steering fluid. The steering is tight and has no excess play. It has a nice light-medium weight to it, with great road feel! -CHASSIS This is another incredibly wonderful part of the M3. The chassis, or structure/backbones of the car, are critical to a good handling car. But too tight and the noise and harshness will be too much. Too soft and the car will not handle well. Whoever designed the M3 deserves an award. It is WAY more comfortable around town than any of its peers, but yet tight that when hustled feels confident and tight. I was stunned by just how good this chassis is! Its communicative, forgiving, comfortable and tight all in one! Its a car lovers dream! Let's continue to the exterior: -PAINT The paint is very nice! It is a 9+ out of 10 easily. Shiny, beautiful Alpine White paint was recently polished, finished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. It looks FANTASTIC. CLEAN and CLEAR CarFax. NO ACCIDENTS. There are a only few VERY small flaws on the car. There are a few VERY small stone chips that are almost unnoticeable, unless being pointed out. A very small touched mark on the rear bumper. There are a few scrapes on the underside of the front bumper from high driveways, but they are only seen if you have the car on a lift. That's it. It is near flawless otherwise! Any time there has been a small ding or scratch it was professionally taken care of by Howard Brown and Sons, which is the shop that handles all of the local BMW dealer business. Fantastic and imperceptible repairs. NO ACCIDENTS, CLEAN CARFAX. -WHEELS The wheels are in very nice shape with a few very small and not very obvious curb marks. -TIRES Tires are near brand new in the front and have 90%+ life remaining and ready to go countless thousands of miles! No leaks, no issues! The rears have about 50% life left which gives plenty of miles before needing to consider a new set. -GLASS Not to let a pebble defeat this car, the windshield and glass are great shape! Onto the cabin: -SEATS The leather seats are FANTASTIC!!! They are incredibly supportive with what feels like zero foam wear. The leather is SO SO soft and comfortable. I truly love driving this car. You sit bolstered comfortably and in wonderful seating position in these buttery soft seats! The leather has been very well cared for and shows only one small flaw - a very small about 1.5" wear/rub mark on the stitching of the drivers side bolster from getting in and out. Remember this has been owned by an older gentleman and woman, no hot dogging around jumping in and out! The interior has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well! Words don't express well enough just how wonderful the seats are in this beauty! The multiple power settings, memory positioning and adjustable and telescoping steering wheel allow for a comfort position for near any driver! -HEADLINER Beautiful and clean! No issues! -CARPET Beautiful carpet in the car! It has been shampooed and cleaned as part of the overall detail. VERY nice, near flawless! -RADIO/CD CHANGER OEM radio sounds fantastic - deep, rich sound with clear lows and well defined highs. The system allows you to hear parts of your favorite songs you never even noticed before! -AC/HEAT/HVAC Panel AC is ice cold and Heat is earth core hot! -STEERING WHEEL The leather is gorgeous and flawless! Like it left the factory! -CARGO AREA Beautiful, essentially unused trunk with the optional trunk carpet looks beautiful! The Experience Driving this M3 is truly is fantastic. It is quiet inside, pulls and handles like an exotic sports car and is MORE comfortable than a Rolls Royce. It has LOADS of power, a communicative chassis, wonderful strong brakes, a well tuned suspension and is an absolute treat to drive. That said, for those of you that enjoy cars, but aren't looking for something to become deeply involved in the driving experience, fear not - this car is a wonderful, casual, great place to spend time. Easy to drive and otherwise a beautiful luxury car! For those of you who are looking to take that next step in the driving experience, DO NOT IGNORE THIS CAR! This is the car to end the luxury sports car reign. The Audi and Mercedes don't even compare! This car is a dynamic experience to drive and should you choose to, a very interactive and incredibly fun place to spend time! Don't spend big money on a car from a "turn-em-and-burn-em" style dealer when all they do to promote the car is say a few things they think people like to hear. As you may tell from my ad, I know cars and what they need and the details that make them tier 1, from a tier 2 or worse and I hope to have addressed them to those of you that know as well. If an ad says "Low miles and well cared for" Ask questions! If you don't get thorough, well addressed answers, start planning more money and more aspirin. Feel free to ask me any questions at all. Please adjust your expectation level to that of a 31,000 mile car that however is EXTREMELY good condition. This is good miles for BMW of this year, but please just remember that no 31,00 mile car is perfect. It is though a clean, very nice BMW! Please only bid if you intend to buy. If you would like to have an Ebay 3rd party mechanic service check out the car I MORE than welcome it. Please have the car checked out before bidding and not after, if you intend to use that service.
