1977 Pontiac Astre Formula Edition- All original and stored for 30 years Yellow with black interior. Iron Duke 4 cylinder with 3 speed automatic transmission. The Astre transmission is a three-speed automatic. This car has the "Formula" option, which was introduced in 1977, the Astre's final year of production. The Formula option includes the handling package, chrome valve cover, three-piece spoiler, Formula T/A steering wheel and special decals as seen in the pictures. Front and rear sway bar, radial tuned suspension, power steering, front disc brakes, rally interior with high back bucket seats, and fold down rear seat. 1 of 1554 W66 Formula option cars madeHood decal was an option C15-C77; the orginal owner declined that option Original sales/build sheet with all options listed W50, VE5, D55, J50, N30, M29, W71, and QRAOriginal factory undercoat and FM radioSee attached link to see Astre advertisement from 1977: The Official H-Body Internet Community • View topic - 1977 Pontiac ...h-body.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32675 My history with this car: I purchased this car from the second owner who had it stored and covered in his garage since 1987. Yes, a TRUE BARN find. I even have original sale receipt. I had always loved Vegas since I was a teenager and my friend drove one to high school. When I saw this one, I first thought it was a Camaro, but after uncovering it, I was pleasantly surprised that it was a Pontiac Astre, the Canadian version of the Vega. To see one in this incredibly clean and original condition was a once in a lifetime event. These cars are nowhere to be found. I have looked and all I have seen are hot rodded, track ready cars, or rotted away carcasses of what was left. This car has the orginal black interior with high back bucket seats, automatic console shift, beautiful back seats that fold down for hatchback storage. Even the original tire equipment is untouched! Being a father with children at college age, I now unfortunately need to sell off my toys to pay for college. I have only seen one car in the condition mine is in and the asking price that car was listed for was around the 14K mark. I haven't done much more then clean and polish it. The original paint shined right up. I put in a new battery, drained the old gas, but there must be a choke or vacuum problem because it starts up, drives and will stall. It also has a hairline crack in the bottom center of the windshield, otherwise it is ready to go. I am pricing to sell and give the next person the joy of an untouched, original beauty of a car.
