I will start by saying the car has a rebuilt title from back in 96 Auto check does not show much details but my guess would be theft or a light accident.It now has a nj title. When i purchased the car i drove it locally for a bit before i started the add on's I noticed there were lots of new parts under the hood but i had no documents but inside the car there was a receipt with a Known repair shop out in California i decided to give them a call and they knew the car as soon as i mentioned the white Mk2 jetta and although they would not provide me with the previous owners contact information they did say they were in shock he traded the car in because months before he spent nearly $2,500 in a full maintenance including clutch. The exterior of the car is in very nice condition, the car has a respray but looks to be from back in the mid 2000's the paint shines great. The car does have some blemishes and one that really annoyed me is a bad repair underneath the passenger side tail light (pictured) otherwise the car is not perfect but very nice and the best part 0 rust! the undercarriage of this car still has the original undercoating from factory. The interior is in very good condition , the recaro trophy seats are in very good condition and so are the panels and carpet, the dash does have a few little cracks but common on these mk2's , the Oem Nos floormats are in excellent condition and a rare Piece to a classic mk2, the headliner will need to be redone. 2.0L 16V WITH ABOUT 165K Miles / i believe i still have the original cluster in a box and will include if i can find it fast, Since i purchased the car is 2014 i put about 500 miles i only drove to a few shows and around town on a nice day the car runs great! 5-speed manual shifts great and clutch grabs great. I took the car to a few car shows and placed 1st in 2014, 2nd 2xs in 2015 and that was the last time the car has been out! i purchased a home and with my family the home and the business the car just sleeps in my garage i turned it on and took it for a spin 2 weeks ago when i took these pictures and the last time before that was in November 2016 when i moved it to my home garage and before that since July 2015 when i took it to a show i honestly never thought i would be selling this car because i am sure if you are looking at this ad you know about these cars and i am sure your a fan just like me and i spent numerous amount of hours searching the internet and with great friends i met online overseas that helped me get a lot of the parts i was able to get and like i said i took these pictures 2 weeks ago but could not find a way to actually sit and list it here up until now in which i have come to my sense and i rather see someone take it and enjoy it then let it sit in my garage under a cover the car deserves better then that! I am sure there are things i am missing but i have took many pictures for you to view i also added a picture of the first day i picked it up, to all interested buyers i would personally recommend that if you are seriously considering buying this to come with a trailer and get it home and just give it a little look over because like i said i have not driven the car on the highway since july of 2015 and at that time the car ran amazing with out skipping a beat but its still 2 years! The car fires right up with out a struggle and i looked it over topped the fluids off when i took it for a spin 2 weeks ago.
