2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R 2000 FORD SVT MUSTANG COBRA R FINISHED IN PERFORMANCE RED 8 CYLINDER 5.4L 385 HP REAR WHEEL DRIVE 6-SPEED MANUAL CLEAN CARFAX!! This is a Ford Mustang Cobra R with only 375 original miles, a true collector car! These cars were a limited edition; they only built 300 and this one is number 150. Of the 300 built, it is known that a substantial number of them were raced, wrecked, or modified. It has original paint, and is completely unmodified. This beauty is in great shape inside and out. The Cobra Rs only came in performance red, with a dark charcoal interior. They came with 2 seats upfront which are Recaro buckets that hold you in tight. The Cobra R was designed to be a race-ready high-performance vehicle in a perfectly street legal package; as such, it lacked many of the comforts the base production line Cobra enjoyed. These cars have no radio/audio equipment, no air conditioning, no cruise control and no rear seat. However, it is packed with a ton of extra equipment that did not come with the standard Cobra, including a hand built SVT engine, special "power dome" hood, tall rear spoiler for downforce, along with removable front splitter, Eibach Springs, Bilstein Shocks and struts, Brembo 4 Piston front calipers, the 18" Cobra R alloy wheels, and a Tremec T-56 6-speed gear box to keep up with the brute power and many more parts! These cars were made for race, but this one has been hardly driven and stored in a climate controlled garage by an adult owner! There is only one fault on this car that is common to most of the Cobra R's and that is the bubbling on the hood. There are only a few small paint bubbles on the hood. Due to the heat of the engine and the improper prep work for the material on the hood at the factory, several of these vehicles experience bubbles on the hood. Feel free to look at this forum discussing the issues with these bubbles.
