Vehicle Detail

Offered for auction here is an original Chevrolet 1969 SS Camaro with the code of X11 on tag of firewall to verify originality. AS OF 10/12/2017, THE ENGINE WILL NOT START. The mileage is unknown by me because I purchased from my Brother who purchased from a collector car dealership in year 2000. I purchased from him in July 2003 and only drove that summer scarcely, and probably not as much the following year 2004 in only warm dry weather. The car has pretty much been in storage covered in my garage for almost 14 years, except twice when I had to leave it covered up outside the garage for the winter. The engine will start right up and does not burn oil on revving or leak oil to ground. The engine has roller rockers, a new quadrajet 4 barrel carb, a older style aluminum Eldebrock manifold, and Mallory electronic distributor. This is an early small block 350 cubic inch V8, with early water pump as can be seen. I have detected no coolant leakage from radiator or anywhere in system despite the age of related components. The vehicle does not have air conditioning. Does have the power front disc brakes (not JL-8) and rear drum brakes, all with great pad life front and rear and good front disc and drums. Emergency brakes function with new components but no indicator switch for light when on. Horns are from 79 corvette and a vintage Audiovox 8 track am/fm radio are included. Tires are BF Goodrich P215/15 on front and P235/15 on rear. They all hold air (no leaks) and I see no cracking from age. Been on since I've owned car. The transmission is a GM turbohydramatic 400 with a higher stall street converter. The rear end is a 12 bolt posi rear end from GM, been on since I bought car. New gas tank and sender. New brake lines rubber and steel except for the steel lines on rear differential, don't believe needed. Where most of attention is needed is at rear trunk floor and it supports and also where rear shocks mount to that floor, although not broken or even loose at this time. rear frame rails need repair although like I said this is a daily driver but can be repaired for maximum profitability. Front suspension bushings at control arms are aged but still function. During storage in garage something hit right fender at top edge middle and left a dent (dog gone it) I'm sorry I don't know what happened. Right rear quarter panel slight dent also not major. The lower rocker panels seem to be fine but might have some bondo or fiberglass filler like spots in trunk had, but overall look good and strong. Rear tail pan needs a work. I was attempting to secure lower bumper guards, but came across that filler again, result those holes as seen in photo. Floors front to back have no issues, neither do inner wheel wells front or rear wheel tubs. Firewall is good and strong. Paint has a few scratches and chips, can be touched up. The car is a real opportunity to own a real icon, especially with the 50th year anniversary upon us. Thankyou for your consideration and if any questions, you may contact me thru me ebay site. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have. The vehicle in this listing VIN#124379N694124 is sold as is with no warranty. A five hundred dollar non refundable deposit must be made on my ebay site with-in two days after auction closing. And the full amount remaining balance within seven full days of auction closing. It will be up to the buyer to provide and pay all shipping cost to the destination of their choosing or Pickup at my location. I'll do what ever I can to help make this an easy transaction for the buyer. On Oct-08-17 at 14:46:03 PDT, seller added the following information: AS OF OCTOBER 8, 2017 AT 4:30 PM ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TAKE NOTE. IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE REPLACEMENT OF REAR QUARTER PANELS ON A VEHICLE SUCH AS THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY A DESIRABLE THING. THIS CAMARO HAS LEFT AND REAR QUARTER PANELS REPLACED. TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN BIDDING AND ANY BIDS ALREADY MADE, I'M SORRY FOR THE ERROR ON MY PART. WITHDRAW THE BID OR BIDS AS I HAVE LOWERED MY ASKING PRICE. THANKYOU. On Oct-10-17 at 12:12:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Dated 10/10/3017 2:10 PM CST THIS CAMARO DOES HAVE THE TWELVE BOLT DIFFERENTIAL BUT NOT THE POSITRACTION. I'M SORRY I WAS MISTAKEN. PLEASE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN BIDDING.
