Vehicle Detail

This car as been adult driven since new, never raced and is in like-new condition. The car has never been driven in the rain or snow, and has always been stored in a heated garage where it was also covered during the winter months. The high-end, custom-fit cover also comes with the car. The car has never been wrecked, dinged, scratched or even scuffed. We've owned the car since New, and it's guaranteed to turn heads everywhere you go. The original owner was my 78 year old father. I purchased it from him. Have all paperwork, Service Records, Window Sticker, etc.Chevy manufactured very few 3LT Cyber Gray Metallic Grand Sport coupes with a six-speed manual transmission and dual-sport performance exhaust in 2010. As you can see from the pictures, Cyber Gray Metallic is the perfect color for the C6 Grand Sport. The only downside to Cyber Gray Metallic is it is very difficult to photograph. When you look at it closely you'll see tiny flecks of silver and cobalt blue metallic suspended in the paint. As a result, the paint appears to change color depending on the angle and intensity of the light. You can see what look like cobalt blue highlights in some of the pictures. This provides a dramatic effect when you drive the car under streetlights at night.Chevrolet reintroduced the iconic Grand Sport Corvette in 2010, and the car received rave reviews from every car magazine published. However, as most the authors noted, not all Grand Sports were created equal. Only the engines for Grand Sport coupes ordered with a six-speed manual transmissions were hand assembled by a single technician at the GM Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan. These engines are easily identified by the distinctive plate on the front of the engine that bears the name of the assembler. In 2010 there were only 16 certified engine builders at the GM Performance Build Center. The engine in this car was built by Michael Klamo. Michael Klamo and Chuck DeKubber were chosen by GM to jointly build the 100-millionth small block engine on November 29, 2011.Article about 100-millionth small block engine build:autosphere.ca/carcarebusiness/2011/12/01/gm-builds-100-millionth-small-block-engine/Video tour of GM Performance Build Center:youtube.com/watch?v=Bs8X_7VRG5cAlso unique for the Grand Sport coupe with the six-speed manual transmission is the high pressure 10.5 quart dry sump oil system that was standard equipment on the Z06 and ZR1, and the rear-mounted battery. By moving the heavy battery to the back of the car, the Grand Sport coupe with a six-speed manual transmission delivers near-perfect 50/50 front to back weight distribution. As a result, it is one of the few production cars ever built that is capable of over 1-g (g-force) of sustained lateral force in a corner. The engines for all Grand Sport convertibles, all Grand Sport coupes with automatic transmissions and all standard Corvettes were built on the general assembly line St. Catharines, Ontario (Canada) along with the rest of the LS3 engines. These engines use a six-quart submerged sump oil system just like a typical family car, and have a front-mounted battery. All Grand Sports came with the same front and rear fenders used on the Z06 and ZR1. The flared fenders used on the Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1 were needed to accommodate the wider 9.5" front and 12.0" rear wheels, and wider 285/35ZR-19 front and 335/30ZR-19 rear tires. These are exactly the same size tires used on the Z06 and ZR1 Corvettes. To put this in perspective, the standard Corvette came with 285/35ZR-19s on the REAR (the front tires on the Grand Sport are the same size as the rear tires on a standard Corvette). All Grand Sports also use the same high-performance four wheel cross-drilled disc brake system found on the Z06. Up front there are 14-inch discs with six-piston calipers, and in the rear, 13.4-inch rotors with four-piston calipers. With this, and a curb weight that is just over 3,300 pounds, it will stop in just over 100 feet from 70mph. That is one of the shortest stopping distances from 70mph of any car ever built.According to the librarian at the National Corvette Museum, there were only 542 Grand Sport Corvette coupes manufactured in 2010 in Cyber Gray, and out of those, only 101 were ordered with the 3LT option, a six-speed manual transmission and dual-sport performance exhaust. If you also take into consideration the memory package and in-dash touch-screen navigation, the number drops to less than 50. The number drops to very low double-digits if you include the dual-roof option, chrome wheels and two-tone embroidered seats. With that low of a production number, I think there is a very good chance this car will retain its value as a collectible. Options Include:-3LT Package-Traction control-Bose 7-speaker entertainment system with multi-disc CD-Touch Screen Navigation Radio-User-programmable Heads Up Display (HUD) including G-Force meter-Power telescoping steering wheel-Heated seats-Memory package (automatically sets everything to driver preferences) -Universal Home Remote-Power 6-way driver and passenger seats- Two tone seats -- Ebony interior with titanium gray inserts and Grand Sport embroidery on the head rests- Luggage shade and cargo net- Bluetooth wireless for all mobile electronics and direct connect for Apple products (Apple control through dash touch-screen)- Chrome alloy wheels- Dual mode performance exhaust - wireless electronic control for quiet or loud (adds 6 horsepower)- Dual removable tops (one in Cyber Gray, and one tinted transparent Lexan that has never been used except to see how it works)- Custom-fit cover - in perfect condition - never used outdoors- Tinted windowsTotal list price in 2010, including options, was $65,560. The car-cover, Switch for dual mode exhaust to select quiet mode or open, included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. 530.
