2002 MERCEDES BENZ SL600, Silver with black leather interior. I am an attorney and selling this car for a divorced client as a part of the settlement. This car was in storage for over 3 years. After the divorce settlement the car was taken for Mercedes service and have been driven over 800 miles since. It is a standard Mercedes V12 sports convertible in very good interior and exterior without any scratches or dings/dents of any kind with the exception of normal usage by the lady owner. I cannot tell much about the car except that the Mercedes shop that did the service over 7 months ago informed me that it needs the plastic cover lens for the front right side turn signal light and a bulb for the same turn signal needs replacing. He also informed us to have the wheel aligned and balanced. It has almost brand new tires with 97% tread on them as the picture shows. It comes with the hard top which is scratch free and in excellent condition. It also has the soft top in excellent shape. Interior does not have any scratches or any signs of wear and tear except the normal and careful use without any tears, rips or discolorations of any kind. But it can use a good car wash and cleaning. There is a service record which my client has but its packed in her boxes when she moved from her ex-husband's home. If these records are found, they will be made available. However, a complete record can be obtained from the Mercedes Benz authorized dealer in Pasadena, California, who sold the car. Any Mercedes Benz authorized dealer can get the full service record. As far as we know this car was never been involved in any kind of accident and never had any paint and body work done to it. I drive a Mercedes S65 and I can tell just by looking at the engine compartment that it can use good detailing as there are signs of dirt and some leaves around the engine compound due to prolonged storage for over 3 years. Picture shows the leaves near the windshield. If I was buying a used car I would have it checked by the dealer just for peace of mind. Therefore, I would recommend that any eBay buyers bidding on this car should have the car checked, or check it yourself for complete determination of its overall condition. My office is willing to have the car taken to the MBZ dealer for full evaluation report at your expense. Like anything used sold on eBay as a standard disclaimer must be made. So this vehicle is being sold on AS IS and WHERE IS basis without any expressed or implied warranties whatsoever. Car's general overall condition as known, is mentioned above along with the photographs taken yesterday for having the car listed on eBay. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours at the end of the auction. Remaining balance must be paid via bank to bank transfer, cash, money order, cashier's check within 3 days of the end of the auction. We can accept the payment via PayPal as long as the fees for the PayPal are also paid by the buyer and not by the seller. For any additional photographs of any details of the car and related questions, please do not hesitate to ask or request for additional pictures that can be taken according to your specific request. I have personally not driven this car but my staff member has and based on the information about its driving performance, "it drives very strong without any problems. Everything in the car works". As stated above it would need a good alignment or the wheel balancing that I've been told but no other related details are available to us about the wheel alignment and balancing issue. Other than that what the MBZ mechanic has informed us I have listed his diagnosis of the car above. For any specific concerns, please feel free to ask question before bidding. On Oct-03-17 at 09:39:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm about 2 hours from Thousand Oaks driving back from Carmel. I stopped at a gas station to find out why the car is pulling to the right side when I put the breaks on. Mechanic without looking at the car said that I need some kind of an arm and quoted me a price of $300. What surprised me that he didn't even look underneath car or test drove the car and suggested it would take him 2 hours worth of labor plus parts with a total of $530. I then called the Mercedes Benz dealer and they laughed at and said that probably it just needs an alignment. I thought to share this incident with the bidders. So please be aware about this strange incident by a truck stop mechanic whose very strange remark got me concerned and I thought to share with the bidders. I don't know what kind of an arm he talked about. Does anyone know what this arm is and where does this arm go inside the car? Whatever the case may be, so please consider the worse case scenario about this "arm" to be put inside the car??? On Oct-03-17 at 16:27:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I've received messages via eBay messaging asking for car's condition. I have already listed what I know of. other than that as far as how the car drove from Carmel Cal. to Thousand Oaks, Ca. approx. 400 miles + it drove fine except car pulls to the right if one leaves the steering wheel without holding it. The truck stop mechanic told that it needs a control arm without even looking at the car or driving it. After she explained about the car sometime pulls to the right, mechanic said "it's probably your arm". First I didn't know what does arm mean till I called the Mercedes service dept. and they said its called "control arm". So the worse case scenario could be the control arm but it could also be the alignment and balancing according to the Mercedes Benz service dept. Dash board has a light blub light on which is because the front turn signal lamp needs to be replaced as it is burnt! Without being a mechanic I can only reflect upon what I have stated above. I am willing to take the car to your choice of Mercedes dealer or an indy shop to check the car at your expense as long as it is withint 10 miles driving distance. There is a local MBZ dealer by the name of Silver Star Mercedes Benz as well as several good German mercedes repair shops who can check the problem of wheel alignment/balancing/arm stuff!
