This is my 1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula that had been sitting in a garage for over 25 yrs. I originally purchased this car in 1977. It now has a 1970 454 Chevy big block crate engine, stamped High Performance on the block. We think it is a LS6. It is bored 60 over with Special High performance open chambered heads. There was only 1,500 miles on the rebuild before she sat for 25 plus years. We had it towed to our mechanic to have it accessed.The engine turned over fine and she ran for about an hour but all the belts, wires, etc. need to be replaced. I am in my 60's and i am not as ambitious as I used to be so I want to move on from her. When i originally garaged her she just needed a clutch but now she needs some TLC. The car includes a 1970 Z28 12 bolt 410, 4 series rear end with Moroso springs and clutches and a Muncie M22 4 speed transmission. This would make a great project car or can be parted out for many uses and/or a nice profit.The car itself is all original except for the L88 hood(engine was too high for stock hood and we have original Formula hood) and has 42,500 miles on it. I preferred the sleeper look(Stock Appearance). She has some rust on her now but nothing too bad and some paint is scorched from a firework accident on both doors. Only surface damage.The headliner has dropped and some of the upholstery(drivers seat) is worn.The paint on the car has started to crack and flake since being exposed to the elements for the last 6 months. The drive train would work perfect for your own Custom Classic Chevy project. All serious offers will be considered. I would love to move this car before the Winter.
