Vehicle Detail

1939 Mercury Convertible Low Rider This auction is an opportunity for a new owner to earn some sweat equity. The car ran mechanicaly well however it was recently vandalized. The car was broken into and drivers side door was pried open resulting in a broken window and the door handle no longer opens from the inside. The ignition cylinder was also broken in an attempt to steal the vehicle. The engine is a 350 Chevy which came out of a 1998 pick up truck. The front end is from a Mustang and the rear end if from a Jaguar. Odometer reads less than 3700 miles. Upgrades include updating the entire fuel system including a new gas tank, lines, fuel sending unit and rebuilding the carburetor. Power brakes were also installed to ensure stopping capability. I also rebuilt the firewall to support the new braking system and replaced the radiator and alternator. The car has been chopped, dropped and shaved. The doors open with a push button located at the bottom from of the doors. The paint, grill and Carson convertible top are not in perfect condition and have some scratches, cracks and minor staining. The bumper does have a crack and two of the rear tail lights vibrated off while driving. The taillights are 2 inch after market plastic which should be easily found at any car show. The tires are Michelins and are in good condition. The front hub caps are off a classic Corvette. The dual tail exhaust pipes run through the bumper and parts are off a Mustang. The rear end raises and lowers using air shocks. The air intake valve is located on the center console and another air intake valve is located in the trunk. The car can be set up with an air compressor in the trunk and raised and lowered with a push button on the center console. The car is sold as is.
