Vehicle Detail
This is my 1974 Honda cb200T Cafe Racer project. *please note that the engine is disassembled and will require some parts (see paperwork from cafe racer in KCMO, and photos) I took it to Cafe Racer in Kansas City Missouri and had one of their mechanics go over the engine and I have the paperwork for that to show exactly what it needs to be up and running. Mechanic said that the Rings should be replaced any time that you do top end of a motorcycle. It has a new timing chain, he said the exhaust valves are good the intake valves or just a bit thin and would eventually have to be replaced but they will work and they would seat well because there's no damage to them. The bike also needs points and a tune-up, the carburetors are brand new but it needs a gasket set. the bike was running great but it did have a couple leaks and we decided to tear it apart and see what all it needed, and document that. At this time I just don't have the funds to finish this project I have too many projects going on so if your mechanically inclined and want an old CB Honda that's going to make a sweet Cafe Racer that's almost ready to go with lots of new parts. This might work for you. I also have several of the original parts the frame has been modified for a cafe racer seat so I do not have the original seat. I also have a capacitor wired up instead of a battery but I still have the battery box and all the original cables. The exhaust pipes are new the headers are the original the tires are good. new chain and the brakes are good, the clutch cable and throttle cable are both new. It has micro controls on the handlebars instead of the originals but I do have the original controls and a new set of bars that are a little bit higher than the straight bars if you desire to put those on they are brand new and have never been mounted. It does have LED turn signals on the front and a brake light LED turn signal on the back. The front fork had new new oil seals just last summer. This is a local pickup only in Kansas City. you can see the photos. I have a 100% feedback because I'm 100% honest with the things that I sell on eBay this is going to require somebody with some mechanical knowledge to rebuild the upper part of the engine probably will end up spending a some on Parts if you do it yourself I'm not exactly sure how much the ring set and valves and points would cost ,you might have to get on eBay and check that out, most of those parts are available on eBay. If you need pictures of anything or if you need more information please contact me through eBay. *The Mechanic included part numbers for everything on the paperwork. Once again this is a local pickup only and I'm only selling it to someone in the US. I do have the original speedometer and tachometer but I did put a tachometer plug-in as I was not running one on this motorcycle when I was riding it. It has a new headlight the old one was pretty messed up but I still have the old one if you would prefer to put that one back on there. The new one is an aftermarket job kind of cheap honestly, but it does work and it's kind of cool looking. The cafe racer seat is not a really expensive seat but it works and it looks pretty cool. The handle grips are new grip wrap and I do have some brand new end mirrors for the handlebars, I also have the original mirrors as well. I have a new flasher module that has not been installed. Plugs are brand new. This is a great little motorcycle I put about five thousand miles on it and the head gasket was leaking a little oil and one of the seals so the seal was replaced but the gasket set needs to be replaced also. I think those are about 35 bucks maybe 40 for the gasket set. . I know they're available online. The lower transmission gaskets are good and do not leak .The mechanic @ cafe racer said there is nothing major wrong with this engine just needs a little TLC but at this time I just have too many projects going on and I have my eyes on another motorcycle that I would like to buy. Thanks for looking and let me know if you need any more information about this Machine. The title is clear and registered in MO. The wiring in the headlight might need some tweaking as I had to take the harness off to clean the frame. I also added new LED signals and have not had it running to test them. Everything works, but there might be some basic connections that need to be done. I have the original manual as well and a copy of the shop manual and a Clymers to go with. The original carbs, chain guard, speedo and tach as well as a few other items also come with. So what it needs to be awesome. Gasket set Top endrings (pistons are good)The rings were not leaking or burning oil, but it should be done while your in there.Points setIntake valves are OK but would eventually need to be replaced so it would be good to get them now but the old ones are not that bad. Exhaust valves are good.some basic wiring when the engine is connected as well as the turn signals. One of the pistons was cleaned off with some mystery oil and that's why one looks cleaner, they were both like the dark one I wanted to clean one off to see if it would come off easily. They do not need to be replaced unless you want to do that. * I do have the side cover that goes over the drive gear, it's just not in the picture. The gas tank has a few scratches and dings that you can not see very well in the photos, overall it is in pretty good shape and I like the original paint on that, so I left it alone.* total mileage is around 14,000 There is a new horn that I had purchased that is also still in the box, as well as the extra handle bars, turn signal flasher and the bar end mirrors. * The kill switch was relocated to the top of the headlight and is a push button. I wanted minimum controls on the bars. The micro controls are the turn signals and the horn.I have not hooked up a high beam switch as I originally planned on putting another micro switch on there, but never got around to purchasing one. * LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. Thanks for looking. I can not seem to get the international and shipping quotes off the listing? On Sep-11-17 at 12:31:52 PDT, seller added the following information: ****Please Note That this is a 1975*****Not a 74.
