Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE NO RESERVE AUCTION - Will Be Sold To The Highest Bidder! This 1978 Honda CB550 has been my labor of love and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Enjoy the fall weather riding season on this CB550 and ride in style! Every time I ride it, I get tons of thumbs up, compliments, and questions about it. It's definitely an attention grabber and very fun to ride. When I purchased the bike it was in good, running, original condition, but I set out to bring it back to life and have it really stand out. As you can see, the bike is in amazing condition. Inside the tank is immaculate and the side panels have no broken tabs and look brand new. The seat was in great condition, however, just a little dirty. I cleaned and reconditioned the seat, leaving the conditioner on for 24 hours and the results were astonishing. It looked like a brand-new seat. The front and rear fenders were taken off the bike, the undersides cleaned, then polished, along with the headlight bucket and wheels. The frame was in good shape, so with some elbow grease, polish, and wax, the factory paint cleaned up nicely. Having been recently rebuilt and bored out to accept a 605cc kit, the engine was very strong. However, being the OCD person that I am, I went through the engine, cleaning every nook and cranny, replaced the spark plugs, wires, points and points plate, set ignition timing and gaps, valve clearances, and cam tensioner. The exhaust that came on bike wasn’t in the best condition and has been replaced with, almost new condition stock pipes that have been coated inside to prevent blueing and discoloring. One muffler does still have some scratches on it (as seen in the picture). The carburetors were taken apart and rebuilt, along with being re-jetted for the 605cc kit. The braking system has been gone through. All new pads front and rear, rebuilt master cylinder and adjustments have just been done. It has Koni rear shocks and the front forks have been rebuilt as well. Bridgestone Spitfire tires have been installed, front and rear, which help keep a vintage look to the bike, but give a little more peace of mind while cornering. As you can see from the pictures, if there wasn't a part that could be cleaned and brought back to life, it was replaced. 95% of the bike is brand new. It only has only been ridden about 200 miles since the rebuild just to make sure everything is functioning correctly. I could go on and on about everything that was done to the bike, however there are just too many details to list out. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Included, but not pictured: Original Tool Bag Kit, Owners Manual, Headlight Reflectors, and Rotor Guard. Now for the boring legal stuff: -Non Refundable- deposit of $500 must be made through PayPal within 24hrs of auction end and final payment must be made within 7 days of auction end. I prefer final payment to be made through cash, or cashiers check. I will accept a personal check, but it must clear before the bike can be picked up. This bike is being sold as is, where is. There is no warranty expressed or implied. I will keep insurance on the bike until it has been picked up. Once it has left my possession you must make sure it is insured. I am more than happy to help with pickup/shipping, but it must be arranged by the buyer.
