This car "sold" last week to the high bidder who within minutes of winning the auction asked to cancel their bid, citing they were located in Japan and family reasons. Winning bidder went back and forth on their decision and finally notified me this morning they could not purchase the car. Seemed like a nice Ebayer, but a shame for other bidders.PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE COMMITTED TO YOUR BID. IT'S SIMPLE HOW EBAY OPERATES. I will add that the reserve is very reasonable and was exceeded last time. So here we go again...59 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan. We have owned this car for 10-years and purchased from an estate in 07. This car is a great driving car, but not a show car. This car is currently insured, tagged and titled in NC and we drive it every other weekend. The car odometer does not work, but that has never bothered us. Recent (April and May 2017) work performed by Washburn Classic Restorations in Raleigh, NC includes; transmission pan and gasket replacement, valve cover gaskets, tube sealants, transmission fluid, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap rotor, carb adjustment and tuning, timing adjustment. Replace rear brake hoses and bleed full front and rear brake system. 2016 work includes installation of Edelbrock Carb, wiring work for wipers and headlights. Most of gauges work except speedo and odometer. Electric windows work-there is a crack in drivers window.Front Windows need re-tracking. Electric front seat bench works. Front and rear lights work Wipers work.The chrome is in OK condition, some rust spots but no holes. Interior is in driveable/OK condition. Some holes in fabric. Needs new door passenger and driver door cards.Crack in steering wheel.Car was originally black. It was frame on repainted white by Peach Auto Paint in Raleigh in 2008. Have most of receipts since we have owned the car. In summary, this a driver, not a parts car, nor a show queen. Good Luck to All Bidders.
