With much regret, I'm selling my 2003 BMW M5. The vehicle is in pristine condition as you can see from the pictures--one of the nicer examples I've come across. It's also the last production year! The M5 is powered by a 4.9L S62 V8 paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The current mileage on the vehicle is 162,500. The engine compression is to factory specification and I've listed those values by cylinder below. I've completed a number of major maintenance items, including a new clutch, flywheel, guibo, gaskets, and fluids. I've listed all maintenance and repairs below. I also had the factory wheels refinished by Prince Wheel Services in Charlotte (Chrome Shadow). They look new from the factory. They do fantastic work and are known well by M5 enthusiasts. See their website and M5 board for details. I have receipts for all maintenance and repair items performed under my ownership. You should need no major service done on the vehicle for years to come.The exterior paint color is Jet Black and in excellent condition, and the interior is black Nappa Heritage Leather with the complete leather package (leather on the door pulls, door armrests, door panels, center console, center armrest, sun visors, dashboard, glovebox door, upper door trims and lower B-pillar plus Alcantara on the headliner, A-pillar, upper B-pillar, C-pillar and rear parcel shelf). Everything is leather! The front seats are also heated. The interior is in wonderful condition with almost no signs of wear. It's really quite amazing.The car has a few tasteful performance upgrades, but none that detract from the stock beauty of the M5. These upgrades include Evolve Alpha N tune with mass airflow sensor delete, Bilstein fully adjustable coil-overs and shocks, Eibach Anti-Roll/Sway Kit Front and Rear, AFE dual air intake system with custom ram ducts, Carbon Fiber Exterior Trim Overlay, and White interior LEDs. My M5 is also equipped with a Passport 9500 radar detector, which is wired in through the front bumper into the dash with small display (really nice install).The E39 M5 is truly an exhilarating and refined car! I'm selling my M5 because we have two young children and my wife would like to complete some projects around the house. These cars are sky rocketing in value and I know I'll regret my decision in a few years.
