Vehicle Detail

A true rare barn find, you will be bidding on a 1985 Suzuki GS700E! The GS700E was not a well known bike, most heard of the GS700ES but the GS700E was a stripped down, slightly lighter version. Back in the mid 1980s the U.S. had a high tax on japan bikes, this caused a drop in sales do to the price needed for sale. No 700's were sold in 1984 and come 1986 it was replaced but the GSX700 making this truly a 1 year only motorcycle. This bike was rode into its current storage spot. It has not been started in about 2 years. Its was covered but the front calipers are unbolted due to pushing it around and they started to rust or freeze up. rebuilding them would be very painless. this bike is sold as a parts or project due to the fact it has not ran in so long and needs brake work. It has a clean WI title and would bee perfect for a old sport bike restore. the graphics and paint are faded and the seat has some rips but all and all it would be a very good bike. No warranty sold as is, no returns $300 deposit due via paypal with in 48 hours Full payment and pick up with in 7 days of sale call 1-920-625-2271 with questions or ask via ebay Specifications: Engine The 1985 Suzuki GS 700 E was equipped with a four-…, double overhead camshaft, four-cylinder engine with 16 valves and Twin Swift Combustion Chambers. The displacement stood at just less than 699 cc in order to avoid the excessive import duty imposed on bikes with engines larger than 700 cc. The engine featured wet sump lubrication with oil cooling. The 67 mm bore, 49.6 mm …, and a 9.6 to 1 compression ratio defined the cylinder piston power. The engine produced 80 horsepower at 9,300 rpm and a maximum torque of 46.5 foot-pounds at 8,500 revolutions per minute. The engine was linked to a five-speed transmission. Dimensions The 1985 Suzuki GS 700 E was 84.1 inches long, 28.9 inches wide and 43.5 inches high. The 59.1-inch wheelbase put the length to wheelbase ratio at 1.42. The seat height was 31.5 inches and the ground clearance was 5.5 inches. The bike weighed 472 lb while the weight of the California model stood at 474 lb, which included additional equipment for Evaporative Emissions Control. The motorcycle had a 4.6-gallon fuel tank, except for the California model, which featured a 3.8-gallon fuel tank. Suspension The 1985 Suzuki GS 700 E had an air and oil damped, anti-drive front suspension. The rear suspension consisted of Suzuki Full Floater that was oil damped with four damping adjustments, fully adjustable preload with remote hydraulic and aluminum box type swingarm.
