Vehicle Detail
***Rare***2006 Jeep Liberty Limited CRD Turbo Diesel 4x4 with 118,000 miles. This Jeep is in good overall condition; runs and drives great. It does have normal wear and tear for an 11 year old off-road capable vehicle. The photos show most, but not all of the scratches and dings. I will try to describe as many of the defects as possible, but buyers should assume that the vehicle is a good running vehicle, but not a show truck; it is an off-road capable daily driver. The 2.8 L Moto Vituri diesel engine gives this Jeep the perfect combination of power, torque, and fuel efficiency. This vehicle can rock crawl (within reason), pull a 5000 lb. trailer, or cruise down the interstate at 75 mph while getting 26 mpg. There are very few vehicles in the world capable of doing all three of these. Mechanical Condition:This vehicle has been lovingly maintained by an experienced diesel mechanic. At 100,000 miles; the engine was torn down for the scheduled timing belt replacement. The timing belt, water pump, all related timing pulleys and tensioners, accessory drive pulleys, fan clutch, and alternator clutch were all replaced as part of the 100k mile service. While the vehicle was being serviced, we did a full top end rebuild on the engine. The head was re-surfaced, and the head gasket was replaced. The head was clamped down with new ARP headstuds to insure that there will never be a problem with head gasket leakage. All 16 rocker arms and all 16 lifters were replaced. A Sasquatch erg delete kit was installed, and a Green Diesel Engineering Eco tune was loaded onto the ECM. The turbo hoses have been upgraded. The transmission was rebuilt and a euro spec torque converter was installed at 88,000 miles; and has worked wonderfully since it was built. Exterior:The vehicle has several scratches, most are shown in the pictures. There is scuffing on the rear bumper from backing into a tree (at slow speed) while trail riding. There is a little scuffing on the corner of the front bumper from rubbing against rocks. Several spots have minor spotting or fading in the clear coat, and the bull bar front bumper has a little clear coat chipping off on the top of the grill guard. There are a couple of scratches on the roof from hauling kayaks and camping gear. I have listed lots of defects, but not because this is a bad looking vehicle. It looks great. I just want the new owner to be aware of what he or she is getting. The Jeep has a heavy steel front bull bar bumper made by ARB Australia. It has got to be the coolest looking Jeep Liberty accessory available anywhere, and these don't come cheap. The bull bar has a XRC8 Smittybuilt 8,000 lb winch, and the winch control comes with the vehicle. There are 2 ARB IPF Off-Road lights, which are properly installed through a relay. The Jeep has a class 4 tow hitch, and a working electric brake controller. On the roof we have a pair of Thule rectangular cross bars and locking mounts. Interior:Inside, the Jeep is comfortable and clean. The Limited package on these Liberty's includes leather seats and steering wheel, and a sun roof. The interior is in pretty good condition, and everything works as it should. The power seats slide smoothly, and the seats recline as they should. The driver seat has surface cracking typical of leather seats this age, but there are no holes through the seat cover. Other seats have small scratches or nicks, but nothing serious. The driver seat has a professionally installed aftermarket seat heater that works as it should. The dash is in overall good shape, but the radio bezel has one corner that does not stay snapped. The headliner has a couple dirty spots, but no sagging. The interior has a full set of rubber floor mats including the rear cargo area. Tires and Suspension:The Jeep is sitting on four matching Kumho Road Venture MT51 Mud Terrain Tires in 245/70R16 size mounted on factory aluminum alloy wheels. The tires are all in good shape with lots of miles left on them. These tires are fairly quiet on the road, but work very well off-road. The Jeep also has a 2.5" suspension lift kit. Payment and PickupA $500 non-refundable deposit will be due by Paypal within 48 hours of the auction ending. The remaining balance will need to be paid in cash on pick-up of the vehicle. No exceptions to this. The vehicle has a clear Louisiana title, and will also come with a bill of sale. I will gladly deliver the vehicle to the New Orleans International Airport (MSY), but I do work M-F 6am-4pm, so I can only deliver the vehicle outside these hours. The vehicle is ready to go, and can easily be driven anywhere in the country. I will not ship the vehicle, sorry. Thanks for looking.
