1966 mustang convertible,c- code car. Manual steering,brakes and top. I havehad this car about 15 years. This was to be my retirement toy. I wanted to have it completely restored by the time I retire, but due to back problems, that will never happen. Engine is a 289, 66 vintage completely overhauled. Engine was completely torn down, hot tanked, all oil passages cleaned. Block was then boerd .040" new pistons and rings. Block was also align bored and decked. Compression is 9.2 to 1. Crank was reground .020" mains and .030 on the rods. All new tri metal bearings, new oil pump,harmonic balancer,flex plate all new. Bottom end was balanced to within 1 gram. Heads were milled, new valves,springs,and hardened seats installed. Set up for unleaded gas. Cam and lifters are new and are stock profile. Has an edelbrock intake and edelbrock 500 cfm carb. Engine runs beautifully!! Engine has run time on it only, no miles. Trans is a completely rebuilt c-4, no miles on it either. Drivesahft is new an aluminum. Rear end is a 8 3/4 with new bearings,new moser axles and gears, 3.53 ratio. New brakes and drums on the rear. Front suspension is all new, a frames,ball joints, springs,bearings. The front brakes have been updated to disc brakes,all new calipers,rotors,bearings. Also there is an adjustable propotioning valve to adjust brake bias. All new brake lines and hoses. Wheels are magnum 500 with older tires. Body has new quarters,doors. Car was taken to bare metal and done up from there, base coat clear coat. Color is dodge viper blue metallic, just beautiful!! Interior is a pony interior, done in black with white inserts, pony door panels. All seats are done, just need to be installed. New dash pad, and wood grain is all new. New carpet.new kick panels. New visors,all window door handles are new, just need to be installed. New windshield, all other glass is in good condition. All chrome,stainless, emblems, lights and lenses are new. I have all new weather stripping for the car, needs to be installed. Have a new Robbins top and pads for the top. Also have all the tack strips and mounting strips for the top. Needs to be installed. This will be a beautifull car when finished! Would be a great father/son/daughter project, all the hard work is done!! Car does run and will drive onto a trailer, but will need a front end alignment due to all the new parts up front. I have a complete trunk liner kit for it also. There is a ton of parts that go with the car. I would love to keep it, but with my back the way it is, I can no longer work on it. If you would like more pictures just ask.ask questions please.
