The suspension on the Suzuki VL 800 is compliant and well-balanced. It provides a nice, plush ride on the highway, but it also feels stable in fast cornering situations thanks to stiffer chassis that makes it feel more planted and stable. The bike does feel its size, yet it steers easily with an accommodating handlebar bend that contributes to the Volusia's stand-out comfort. Brakes are strong. Big buttons make the LCD tripmeter easy to set with gloves. Inaddition: The tires are good. They were replaced after 7000+ miles. So the tires have less than 3000 miles on them. The battery is brand new. Just replaced two weeks ago. The bike was serviced, when I took it for the yearly PA Inspection. It received a new filter and oil change at 10,040 miles. No problems were found. Brakes were also inspected at the same time as the PA Inspection. No problems were found. The tank is not scratched. It is a reflection of light in the photo. It has a barely visible dent in the lower part of the tank, due to a motorcycle handlebar tipping into my bike. No cracks or paint chips from this incident. This blemish could be pulled out by Dent Wizard or someone in that business. It just never bothered me that much, to get it corrected. **You will not be disappointed!
