Vehicle Detail
FOR THE SECOND TIME, THE HIGHEST BIDDER CAN'T PAY FOR THE CAR. DON'T BID UNLESS YOU CAN PAY. 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z. Project car that is nearly finished but needs a couple things in order for it to be a show car although it is still in excellent running condition. It was redone from the ground up starting all the way back to the frame. Definitely a head turner and one of a kind.MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT:- GM ZZ4 built and worked on by the same mechanic from the start350 CID balanced and blueprinted, 9.8 compression forged pistons, forged crank shaft, 4-bolt main, Pro Rods roller rockers, GM .488 lifters and 509 exhaust roller cam, heads are ported and polished with 202 intake and 174 exhaust manifold. - GM high pro intake manifold. - Holly street avenger 670 cfm carburetor. - Multi Sparkplug Discharge (MSD) ignition system that has been recently replaced with the same brand new MSD ignition system as before. - Idler pulley has been replaced within the last few months- Various K&N Filters under the hood- "BE COOL" aluminum dual core radiator with a brand new Murray thermostat- Belts, hoses, fluids, plugs are all updated- Mega-Tron Plus 700CCA Battery new within year and a half and still under warranty from Interstate Battery- Dual exhaust with headers.- New fuel pump- 4 Goodyear Eagle F-1s on 245-50-16 on ROH rims with less than 2000 miles on them- 4 disk brakes with aluminum calipers and updated pads- Rebuilt rear end with Auburn posi-trac carrier with 3.73 gears- Hotchkis performance suspension system with ability to lower/raise car 2 inches with currently installed springs- 700 r4 Transmission with shift kit professionally done by a local transmission shop- Hurst Dual gate shifter (gives the driver the ability to manually switch between gears)- Rack and pinion steering system installed for more versatile handling EXTERIOR:- Removable T-Tops - Painted 1991 firebird green and gold- No rustINTERIOR:- New dash and console- New seats all the way around- New carpet and headliner- Stereo is a Sony Xplode with 2 amplifiers, 6 speakers, a 10 in subwoofer and also connected to a 6 disk CD changer.- All glass is updated and tinted- All window and door rubber is new- Windows, seats, and mirrors are all powered- A theft deterrent system has also been installed- Heat works as it shouldWORK DONE IN THE LAST MONTH:- Serpentine Belt was replaced- Tune up - Carburetor and timing were adjusted - New plugs- New back hatch assemblyWork done by various mechanics around town, previous owner, as well as myself.Driven less than 1000 miles yearly, stored in a garage for 12 months out of the year.Like I stated above, this project is not done completely- Speedometer needs repaired, it works from about 0-45mph. Also, since the new transmission was put into it the odometer is also a bit finicky. The odometer reads 108000 miles, the trans was put in 6 years ago and I am the only person who has driven it and I put about 500 miles or so on it a year. So although the miles aren't documented on the odometer, it is not far off. - Air conditioning, worked before the rebuild but never hooked back up- Couple spots need touched up with paint (I have the paint code for touch up paint as well)Like stated at the top, this car is really a one of a kind. I have owned it for about 6 years and have loved it. Only reason I am selling it is because I don't have enough time to spend on it.
