Vehicle Detail
I'm sad to sell one of my last bikes, but all must go. I've sold over 15 bikes here on ebay over the last year, all with 100% happy customers, so bid with confidence. This is one of my favorites, a 1951 Triumph Thunderbird that is a complete custom. I built this in 2009 and have shown it and occasionally rode it to the local cruise or bike night. In the 12 shows that I put this bike in it has won 1st place in its class 11 times. The only time it didn't take first was in a big Harley show in Denver where it took second. The bike has a stock uncut 1951 rigid frame fit with an original and completely rebuilt Harley inline springer fork. I repeat, this isn't a repop fork or a dna, it's the real deal from the mid 1940's (cost me 2 grand). The bike rolls on black powder coated dunlop rims, stainless spokes, triumph hubs, Coker Firestone tires. The oil tank is custom, has a Harley tool box, La Rosa gator seat, original Triumph tank with parcel rack. Motor is a 650 pre unit built with a '71 top end as the racers used to do back in the day. Trans is a stock 4 speed, right shift. Everything in the engine was new and the motor has just under 1000 miles since the build. It has a working grey faced smiths speedo, a super hard to find original lucas headlight with the marker light underneath and original lens. The tail light is a vincent "stop" copy. Both lights work. The electrical system uses a wassel electronic ignition in a magneto adapter body, very slick set up and never a hiccup out of it once set up. The bike has a small 12v battery that is charged by a 12v Alton generator and a hidden regulator.. Generator works great! The electrical system on this bike cost me over a grand. Bars are custom for the inline springer, Pipes are original nos units and have never blued! Mufflers are beautiful. I know I'm leaving off a bunch of stuff but just email me through ebay with any questions. Bike starts easily, usually first kick even after sitting for weeks or months. It has the great Brit bike sound and definitely draws a crowd when you stop. I have always babied this bike and request that any bidder please do the same (I have a year of my life in this build). If you are looking for a bike to go out and thrash please keep looking. Bike has clear Colorado title and is titled as a 1951 Triumph. I will also include a bill of sale. No reserve, bike goes to the high bidder! No early sales! I made a youtube video of the bike today, check it out at https://youtu.be/uEucGKuYWlE Please read all the following before bidding! Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I will help any way I can from this end with the loading. Expect to pay about $500 shipping from Colorado to either coast. You are of course welcome to come get it in person. Bidder must place a $250 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction. Final full payment is due within 7 days and should be in the form of a certified check. Plan to make shipping arrangements right away, I cannot store this for you! Thanks for looking.
