1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Roadster Convertible Always professionally serviced. Fluids recently changed. Recent Goodyear tires all the way around. New battery and starter. Everything on this SL works without exception aside from the climate adjustment, cruise control and radio antenna. The speedometer/odometer recently failed and the plastic gears inside the cluster will need replacement. I recently took this SL on a 800 mile trip and it performed flawlessly. Starts at the turn of the key with absolutely no shaking or smoke. Runs extremely strong and smooth. The brakes are firm, quiet and grip evenly. The automatic transmission shifts crisply into and out of each gear. The steering exhibits some play, but is not bad considering the age of the vehicle. There is some slight hesitation I have noticed at times when first accelerating and it could benefit from new spark plugs and a fuel system cleanse. Aside from these few items, this Roadster is turn-key ready, extremely reliable, and an absolute blast from the past to drive! Although in overall great condition, this is a vintage car and will naturally show signs of use and age. Please refer to the more than 100 pictures that I have of the car included in the description and ask any questions that you have. This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. Please ask any and all questions that you have before placing a bid. Test drives and in-person inspections are welcomed and encouraged, but must completed prior to the end of the auction. This is a No Reserve auction meaning that the car will sell to the highest bidder. However, I am open to all reasonable offers prior to the close of the auction so it is suggested not to wait before placing a bid. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due at the close of the auction through PayPal and must be received no later than 24 hours after the auction’s end. The remaining balance is due within three (3) days without exception via bank wire, bank check, or cash.
