Not many 1981 BMW R100RT’s left. 62,865 mi New top end with Nakasil lined cylinders, and seals, Transmission and Final Drive rebuilt by Gunether Wurst of Fredericksburg, IN with lower 5th gear for the sidecar. New clutch and updated style clutch carrier. New clutch cable with new spare cable included. Brembo calipers rebuilt, with new pads front and rear. New front fork seals. New rear Koni shocks and springs. New master cylinder. Rebuilt original 140 mph R100RT Speedo and Gauges, all lights and functions working correctly. (Mileage correct). Valves recently adjusted. New battery, small automotive type stowed behind the sidecar seat in battery box for more ballast. New Dunlop K70 tires and tubes front and rear. New relay and switch for the AUX lights on the fairing. New “Bean Can” Diode Board. New neutral switch. (Yes I sealed it first, no leaks) New 10,000 Lumen Cree front sidecar headlight with HI/LO/ and Flashing modes. New Tonneau cover. Soft Top Canopy Rail included. Lower Louvers for Fairing not installed, or refinished, but included. Newly refinished wheels. New fuel lines with filters. New Floats, and Needle Valves. New OEM Fuel shut off valves. Everything works as it should. No leaks or drips anywhere. Uses no oil. Starts every time from 17°F to 95°F. (That’s the coldest and warmest I’ve ridden.) Rig tracks perfectly at 55-65 mph with no pull or sway. Includes the Krauser BMW OEM original hard cases. Electric Camber control. Not a “Garage Queen” but a rock solid, dependable, mechanically sound 36 year old rig that has many more years and miles of driving enjoyment.
