On Jul-04-17 at 11:35:35 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE- I took the car for a spin this AM. Once it warms up it runs really good. I'm guessing a vacuum leak is why it idles rough. Radio is asking for a code before working. I will contact M-B dealer tomorrow to see what can be done about that and update. Thanks. skonk. On Jul-06-17 at 09:52:11 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 7/6/17 Sorry I haven't updated more often, very busy this time of year. I added some pics of the trunk and spare. Please check them out. In the trunk I found a folder that reads: Kurt Russell / Goldie Hawn Ranch Snowmass, Colorado It looks to be directions for chores to do around the ranch and property. I have no idea what, if any, connection there is to the car but it's interesting anyway. I plan to add more this afternoon. Thanks. On Jul-06-17 at 12:00:34 PDT, seller added the following information: PM UPDATE 7/6/17 I checked the Carfax and noticed 2 items of "Major Issue". The first is Fire Damage. I talked to my friend and he said there was minor fire in the engine compartment a year ago or so. It burnt up some wires and the insulation on the hood. Also damaged the plastic grill and some tubing (explains rough idle-probably just a melted vacuum tube) I added some pics of the engine compartment that shows this. It did not damage the paint on the outside. Second is on the title- It is a "Duplicate Title" which means he lost the original at some point. If this is a concern for you I will put the title in my name. It will then be an original. On Jul-07-17 at 07:30:02 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 7/7/17 I got the code for the radio and Radio and speakers all work just fine. I noticed this AM that one of the tranny cooling lines has a leak. I ordered one- it should be here Mon. or Tues. I also discovered that the ASR (anti-slip) system does not work. I will look into that over the weekend. (I talked to M-B mechanic and he advised that car would have to be looked at by them to determine cause) On Jul-09-17 at 11:20:06 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 7/9/17 I didn't get to the body shop to check on "Micro-scratches" in paint. After I found the leaking tranny cooling hose I don't dare drive it. (hose should be here Mon. or Tues.) I tried some hand applied rubbing compound in a couple of spots and it did help, so I'm thinking that a professional buff job would make them a lot less noticeable if not eliminate them all together. P.S. It turns out that the micro-scratches are from car wash brushes, like the kind in an automatic car wash, being either too stiff or not clean.
