Clearly a well loved and well maintained machine. Mechanically she drives as great as she looks. Engine performs perfectly and automatic transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. 1992 is the last model year before the large HP reduction of the SL 500 and the difference can definitely be felt. Very powerful car when you put the hammer down. I've driven this car for several hundred miles and it has truly been an excellent experience. The automatic soft top and hard tops function exactly as they should. Automatic roll bar functions properly as well. Each and every button, gauge, dial and lever inside the cabin function exactly as they should. No warning lights on the dash and the A/C is ice cold. Royal blue leather upholstery looks excellent and the interior smells of nothing but rich Mercedes leather. Outside, the paint looks excellent. According to the carfax, the tires were replaced in June of 2016. All four tires are BF Goodrich with matching production dates. They look like they have over 95% tread.
